Yesterday Stephenie Meyer posted a blog on her myspace that she finished the rough draft of Breaking Dawn. She says:
“I finished the ROUGH draft. Very, very rough. To put this in perspective, it took over two years from the rough draft stage of Twilight to the book being on store shelves. In general, I spend about a year to a year and a half editing a book. Don’t cry, though, because both I and Little Brown’s editorial staff are going to do everything in our power to get Breaking Dawn out Fall 2008. So, fingers crossed, it will be on time.”

you are a great author. i love the first three books, but my friends think that if the books are made into movies
they will be horrible. hollywood does have a way of killing great books. do you really want them to be made into
movies?

I really loved the book! Especially Maggie! She matched my descrpition! I think Jacobs inprint was cute,but Meyer pushed the maturity level a little too far. I’ve read twilight and the rest 10 times and I’m sooo excited for the movie!
love all the books almost finished with Breaking Dawn but i dont hav it, i borrowed it then ad to return it and now im in txas away from home, but im on page 282 and it is exciting ,Stephenie, you have outdone yourself yet again and cant wait for all of them to be movies, btw Twilight i the best movie ive seen in a while so kudos to you

omg you might think im slow but i just finnished the 3rd book anf it was totally wicked. i have fallen in love with the charecters and can not get them out of my head. i cant wait to start the 4th book. oh, i seariously hope that you finnish the 5th book i have dieing to know what edwards perspective of this whole thing is. are you going to be writing his point of view for the 2nd and 3rd books too? if so that adds to my exitment level. cant wait for the next book and the new moon movie i know that they are going to be great.
I LOVE all of the Twilight Saga’s books! Breaking Dawn isn’t my favorite out of them all but the whole SAga is the best thing in book history and the future! Please finish Midnight Sun!! I need to know what Edward’s perspective is! I Love Edward and Bella!! They are SOOO awesome!! Jacob gets me ticked off sometimes but he’s okay. I didn’t like his imprinting on Reneesme that much either. I want to know what happens to all of them!! YOu know, forever doesn’t have a THE END and yet, in Breaking Dawn, you put The End at the end of the book. Please keep writing more Twilight Saga books! They would be so awesome!!

Your books are amazing! I really wish you would finish Midnight Sun. I have read the first 12 chapters that got out on the web and they are great, but it really disapoints me that I may never get to finish it. Edwards perspective, in my opinion, is so much better than Bella's. I'm hoping you do all the books in his perspective and not let the stupid people stop you. It just made it a million times better that only a few chapters were leaked so then everyone will want to finish it, and maybe more will buy it if it is not leaked out anymore.
