Well that was fun of course…he has the wrong vampires by saying you should probably wear garlic but hey..what does he know at least Twilights getting airtime and more advertisement. The more the better, the more popular it gets the more likely we’ll get the sequel movies XD

That is soooo cool. But I didn’t like how that guy called it a “big romantic love story!” Jeez, they fall in love, but it’s so much more than just that. Also, garlic? Well, some people just can’t be helped–especially people who haven’t read Twilight. We should send that news station some books. JK

Garlic? Wow. Nice example of uninformed reporting. And it really is a big love story, just not in the conventional way. But essentially, the whole book is centered around two people in love and them figuring out how to be together. I would love to live in Portland…chances are that the actors will be out and about…like he said at restaurants and such. I’m so excited about this project getting so much attention!!! I thought a few of the actors had already said that talk of the next two books also coming to the big screen…I hope the movie meets everyones expectations. I’m sure it will…right?

Glad I’m not the only one who was annoyed by the garlic thing. I live in Vancouver so I’m very close to Portland. When I saw that segment I was happy that Twilight was finally on my local news but the garlic thing kind of pissed me off. The segment was cool though.

Don’t know if this has anything to do with your search but it’s in Gresham, not Portland. The link aboveh as info you might want. Been there a few times, not bad for hiking or just a beautiful view. And the best part, you (or I since I live here) don’t have to drive forever to get to a good hiking spot; it’s only about 20 minutes away from me.

    Hope that helped ya.

The news reporter guy was an idiot who has obviously not read the books. The news story was ok up until he said that idiotic comment about “if you see any vampires in the area get your garlic and wear it” or something to that effect. I did like the behind the scene stuff, but that was overshadowed by that ignorant comment for me.
This reminds me of a couple of months ago before Order of the Pheonix came out when Access Hollywood or whatever did the whole idiotic story on Harry Potter, and thought they were clever enough to say something like “things are going hogwild at Hogwarts” and then the woman reporter started talking about Luna and Harry possibly getting together. It was idiotic and it was obvious they had never read Harry Potter at all.

i wonder if the guy knows how much we are criticizing and laughing at him…poor guy…well, not really, cause that comment was (got to admit it) stupid.
wear your garlic? *shakes head sadly*
yea, Meghan, i was also reminded of a stupid harry potter news story

all i gotta say is: read a summary at least of the books BEFORE you attempt a witty comment

on this lovely note, thanks for posting it! had a good laugh =]

Lol. You guys are funny. That was my local news so imagine how I feel. Haha. I’m sure he’s probably gotten some angry fan mail by now. All they had to do was look up Twilight or even come onto one of the forums and they could have gotten a brief synposis. I liked the rest of it though. It was nice to finally have Twilight recognized here in the Portland/Vancouver area. Especially considering this is where they are filming and staying. Thanks for posting it=]
