Twilighters.org has gotten a quick interview with Peter Facinelli who is playing Carlisle in the upcoming Twilight film. Thanks to all that submitted questions! And thanks Chelle and of course Peter!

T: Is it scary knowing that the fans have really high expectations for the
film?

PF: Although we understand the responsibility we have in being faithful to
the fans in adapting the story to the big screen, at the end of the
day, the only thing we can do is try to make the best picture we can,
and hope that the fans like it. With so many fans, and everyone having
their own interpretation, we hope the fans keep an open mind, and know
that this is an adaptation. It can never match up to how they visualized
the story in their imagination, but we hope in looking at it with a fresh mind,
that they can accept our interpretation and enjoy the movie.
That being said, it is very scary. We don’t want to let the fans down.

T: Did you know about all the Twilight fandom before being cast?

PF: No, I had never heard of the series, and had no idea how big the fan
base was. But I am proud to say that I have joined that fandom, and am a
big fan of the series and want nothing more than the film adaptation to
be successful so that we can continue on and adapt the other books to
the big screen.

T: What do you think about all the obsessed Twilight fans? Like me and the
rest of us over at Twilighters.org? We really think you’re amazing.

PF: Thank you. I think they are amazing and am humbled by their
overwhelming support. Everyone making the film is just as Twilight
“obsessed”, and if we let you down, then we have let ourselves down.

T: What expectations do you have for the film?

PF: I would love for the film to be an international success, and hope that
the fans support the film so, as I said earlier, we can continue making
more. The story is too good not to be seen on the big screen, and I
would hate to stop after just one movie.

T: How is your relationship with Edward and your other “children” on set?

PF: The family is doing well. We all get along and are working hard to make
a good picture.

T: What’s it like on set? Is it just one big happy family with you guys,
because from what we hear, you all get on great.

PF: We have definitely all bonded.

T: Do you think they will make the whole series?

PF: If the movie is successful, they will. So it is the fans job to make
sure we have a successful movie if they want to see the whole series
made.

T: What do you think about Kristen Stewart? I think she’s an awesome
actress for her age.

PF: I think Kristen is very gifted and am thrilled to be working with her.

T: A really random one now haha, what’s your favorite color?

Blue.

T: What do you think of Stephenie Meyer, knowing she’s the creator of all
this?

PF: Stephenie, is fantastic. She is a wonderful person and I am so
appreciative that she has built this world for us to create on the big
screen. Her writing is so fluid, and detail oriented.

T: And now that that’s all out the way, I just wanted to say thank you so
so much for answering the questions, and giving us the opportunity to
ask them. You’re going to be an amazing Carlisle, and we can’t wait to
see the movie.
