Summit Entertainment via TwilightMoms have said that Twilight‘s teaser trailer will debut on the big screen on May 9 before the movie Speed Racer. It will premiere online the first week of May.
UPDATE: Well, sorry everyone but we were wrong to post a link to the trailer stuff, we apologize and hope it doesn’t lessen your view of us and our integrity. =/. Sorry again.

Oh wow. Just a few weeks ago, my brother and I were laughing at the thought of watching “Speed Racer” but I guess now, I have a reason to watch it after all. I don’t know if I’m watching it but if they’re not posting the trailer online, I just have to drag my dad to the movies. Lolz.
I wouldn’t feel bad about posting stuff about the trailer. Out of curosity did someone official contact you to take it down or were you bullied by others? I realize things like this leak and I don’t think it is inappropriate for you to comment on them. Our fandom is pretty connected and these things will spread regardless of whether the big news sites comment on it or not. I understand that things leak and as the fans we want to know when there are leaks and as long as you aren’t the ones releasing things illegally I don’t think it is a big deal if you point us in the direction of sites that do. Just my opinion.

I wasn’t at all offended by it. I am actually glad I had a chance to see it!! I mean, if it was the whole thing I would have been a little upset. But, just three little screencaps and a transcript is not at all bad. I’m not saying stolen material is ok, that person never should have done it. But, if it has already been done I am not going to be the one to stop looking at it.
Everything gets leaked now-a-days, just like everything gets pirated, it is a sad reality.

Guys, are you reading? It says it will premeir ONLINE the first week of May. You don’t have to go see speed racer. Why would you waste money to see a trailer, when you can watch it for free online, I don’t know maybe you guys want to watch it on the big screen. I am just going to watch it online I don’t know about the rest of you. I am still hopping up and down from the fact that there is a trailer coming though!

I hate to be a bitch… but in all honesty, you’re integrity has been lessened, in my eyes, for you taking it down. Why does everyone follow the lexicon and do what they say!? Don’t worry guys. My view of you wasn’t lessened. I may get killed for saying this but I don’t understand what the big deal is. Yes, the woman made a mistake but she’s obviously paying for it. I don’t think it helps to have hundreds of fans getting pissed off at her for making one mistake. This type of stuff happens with all major movies. People don’t have to look at spoilers if they don’t want to. They have the choice to click on links. If they don’t want to see spoliers than they can avoid them easily. I don’t think we as a community should feel bad for giving out Twilight news. That’s what these sites are for. We give out news about the movies and books and we discuss it. I know some people are offended but everyone has done something illegal. Has anyone ever downloaded music or movies without paying? Has anyone ever snuck into an R rated movie? Has anyone ever driven a car before they were of age? Has anyone ever stole a piece of candy from the grocery store? You see what I’m getting at. It was one mistake but I don’t think we should be attacking the woman for it. If anything attacking her is far worse than what she actually did. It’s not like she killed anyone. I think we just need to let this situation go. The teaser trailer will be out soon enough and than all of this will look like just one stupid mistake.

A lot of sites posted the pictures and then took them down after it became apparent that they were obtained illegally, so I don’t blame you for doing the same. I think you did the right thing by taking them down, but you weren’t the only ones it happened to, and you did do the right thing, so it’s all good. =)
