More Stephenie News

Mtv.com has a new article. ‘Twilight’ Creater Stephenie Meyer Talks About Breaking Dawn’s Cover Controversy and Books’ Appeal. Attached are the videos from Mtv Rough Cut.

She is the brains behind the book series that’s rivaling Harry Potter. She has millions of loyal Twilighters at her beck and call, many of whom would devour you in a moment if you dared to say anything bad about their Edward and Bella. She’s also a very nice lady, who is every bit as cool to hang out with as you’d hope.

Seth has posted again!

In case you missed Stephenie on Good Morning America today, click here to view the interview (which was very good). Also, here is the link to watch the Breaking Dawn Concert series on EW.com tomorrow night (it is the same presentation which will be shown on iClips.net). Both sites will also show the event on August 7th.

While this is a little off-topic, many of you have asked me about obtaining copies of the recent issue of Entertainment Weekly which included articles about Stephenie and Twilight the movie. Due to the high demand, EW has decided to print more and is offering them for purchase here.

Seth

P.S. — There are about 27 hours left until the release of Breaking Dawn! (Yep, hours).

Twilight Sites in Business Week

Business Week magazine has done a feature on the internet Twilight phenomenon, Stephenie Meyer, and the Twilight sites behind it. Awesome right?!

And guess who’s in it? Chris & Geo! =]

Thats right, Twilighters.org was featured along with a couple of other top Twilight fansites!
Check out the online version of it HERE or pick up your hard copy (BusinessWeek July, 31st 2008) at your magazine/book store!

The sideshow with images and info on all the sites can be seen here.

“Chris McElvogue and Georgina Tena, two teenage cousins living in the San Francisco Bay Area, launched Twilighters.org in December 2007. They produce Bite Me, a video series where the two talk about Twilight, go on road trips for signings, and josh around with fans. The fan site has turned the two into mini digital celebrities, with fans recognizing them offline. To celebrate the release of Breaking Dawn, Chris and Geo plan to put on white paint and specially designed contacts so they’ll have the golden eyes of Meyer’s vampires and head down to a local Borders to broadcast live using an iPhone and Mac.”

**Shout out to Gabriela, Heather & Mindy! =]

[EDIT] Be sure to go comment on the article HERE and show your Twilighters love =]

Mtv- Stephenie and Christian

Stephenie Meyer Sits Down With MTV, Says ‘Breaking Dawn’ Should Be 2 Movies- Video and Article.

“I really think they’d have to do five movies,” Stephenie Meyers revealed exclusively to MTV News Thursday morning, sitting down with us on the eve of her “Breaking Dawn” release and mini-tour. “Because you can’t do ‘Breaking Dawn’ in one movie, you’d have to split it up.”

Stay tuned, as we’ll be rolling out more from our interview with Stephenie in the next 24 hours, to help you pass the time until tomorrow night! But in the meantime, would you rather see the “Twilight” filmmakers take Stephenie’s advice and make 5 movies, or stick to the 1-1 book-film ratio like most franchises do?

‘Twilight’ Actress Christian Serratos Chooses Team Edward- Video and Article.

Serratos also revealed that she’s finally chosen a side in the epic battle between Bella’s beaus. “I love Jacob, but if someone said I had to choose, I would definitely be sporting my ‘Team Edward’ T-shirt,” Serratos giggled.

When asked if real-life actors Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner played into her decision, she assured us that the hunky actors had no influence. “They’re both so sweet, so genuine,” Serratos said. “They’re great.”

If you were to see a “Twilight” star in line with you Friday night, would you bother them, or would you be able to play it cool?

Mtv.com’s Rough Cut features a 5 part video of Stephenie. See it here!

News! One More Day!

Mtv has a new blog- MTV’s Kim Stoltz on Interviewing Stephenie Meyer Before She Moderates Tonight’s ‘Twilight’ Event.

Check back soon to watch Kim’s interview with Stephenie Meyer, and to hear more from tonight’s “Twilight” concert series event which she is moderating!

Seth has posted on Stephenie’s site.

If you are still looking for something to pass the remaining hours that we have left to wait, here is the link to the USA Today article that I mentioned yesterday. Also, click here to read a recent article about Stephenie in Variety magazine.

For those fans in the UK that are looking for Breaking Dawn release day events, click here to go to the UK publisher site. And, as a reminder, you can find US events by going to TheTwilightSaga.com’s event locator. For those of you planning to attend midnight parties, I would like to remind you that trying to read the book while driving home is not considered safe driving. My recommendation is to leave Breaking Dawn in the bag until you get home. Have a fun and safe night.

And finally, speaking of Friday night, we have a little more information about where to view the streaming video presentation of the Breaking Dawn concert series event in New York City. We have already discussed that it will be shown at iClips.net, but now you will also be able to view the event at EW.com (I will post the link as soon as I get it).
