The wonderful Chari (twilight to me) was able to get a short but sweet interview with Nikki Reed (Rosalie)!
Charlotte: Are you daunted by how big the whole twilight world is becoming?
Nikki: I think the most terrifying thing about being a part of a film that has such a huge following, is the natural fear that you will disappoint the fans. Considering that everybody has their own take on each character, and their own picture painted in their minds of who they our and what they look like, I had to walk into this knowing that you can’t please everyone, and all you can do is be committed and do the best job you can. It’s definitely scary, but everyday that passes I run into more people, (of all age groups) that love the books, and I’m reminded of how lucky I am to be a part of bringing them to life.
Charlotte: Did you know anything at all about Stephenie Meyer’s books before you got the role of Rosalie?
Nikki: To be honest, I hadn’t read the books before I was part of the film, but my little brother was reading them. This is the first film I’ve done that he is actually excited about! (He’s definitely going to be my date to the premiere.)
Charlotte: Which scene in particular was your favourite to shoot and why?
Nikki: As chaotic as it was, I would have to say the baseball scene was my favorite. I got to fly on cables, and hit a ball at a billion miles per hour. It was quite a challenge though, because not only did I have to learn how to play, but I had to learn to do it left handed in less than a month.
Charlotte: What part of the later books would you look forward to filming?
Nikki: I’m looking forward to the third, because it’s the first time Rosalie gets to open up, and talk about her backstory and where she came from. My biggest fear going into this was Rosalie coming off as a one dimensional character, 
being that there just wasn’t enough time in the first film to go into all of the Cullen’s “history”. I didn’t want people to see her as a bully, I wanted them to see her as a sister, who wants to protect her family.
Charlotte: Did you have any costumes (or part of a costume) that you loved so much you wanted to keep?
Nikki: My shoes! Because the actress who played Alice is actually taller than me in real life, and Alice is supposed to be much shorter than Rosalie, I was constantly put in like 7 inch heels. It was fun for the first 2 hours, but after a 15 hour day I was close to tears! (hint: after you see the kitchen scene, you’ll know what I mean!)
Charlotte: The chemistry on the set looked amazing, did you all kind of bond right away?
Nikki: I had an amazing time in Portland, thanks in large part to the little family that was created. Some of us bonded more than others, but we all enjoyed working together. It’s very rare that you walk away from a film and actually maintain friendships, only because everyone goes off and does other projects, but I will say there are a few people that I met on this film that have become some of my closest friends. I am in New york right now working, and Kristen and I are on the phone with each other every other day. That girl is not only an beautiful person, but a brilliant actress who I look up to and learned a lot from. Enough said.
she’s perfect for Rosalie and she rocks in real life. She’ll do great in the other Twilight movies if i hope they
make more.

She is an amazing actress. IMO, we’re lucky to have her. I think she’ll breathe life into Rosalie—who was pretty one dimensional in the first book.

Well if Ashley is THAT tall that she had to have heels to be taller, then how was she not as tall as the guys… then again… I did see her and thought she was tall.. wow Ashleys taller, but how do they not make it look like seven inch heels!

Wow… they dont always stay close… I hope Nikkis close to Ashley and vise versa, and Nikki and Kellen and Ashley and Jackson… and all.. of them together… but I’m gald Nikki is close to Bella! I find that cool because its such a flip because their characters… Rose hates… unless thats’ to strong… doesn’t like very much… Bella… so thats cool.

she has the talent! i’ve been a fan of hers for a while and when i heard she was playing Rosalie…omg
i was so happy i saw her as the perfect actress! She’s very talented and i seriously wish her the best because as an actress she has taken good roles…Twilight will be a big thing for her career. Hopefully she gets to open up to bella in the movie for eclipse.

I love Nikki! She’s such a lovely person, genuine person. I warmed to her when I first saw her in the MTV video interviews, though I was slightly worried she was TOO nice to play Rosalie – but have since seen her act, and I know she’ll be perfect. Nikki and the other actors are just so sincere, and amazingly talented, I wouldn’t want anyone else in the cast for Twilight!
