HAha, I believe Meyer certainly has stumped us here. But what can I say? If I was her I’d probably post the same ambiguous quote just to torture all of her obsessed fans (including me). But after reading all of your comments, I think this isn’t something Edward would normally say. If something bad happened E wouldn’t say “oops”. It either was a result of something unexpected (in an embarrassing way) or if he was trying to be sarcastic and non-chalant around Bella. For the first one I think I agree with Churchill and he ends up breaking some part of the bed or the wall when they’re going at it…I mean who knows what’ll happen when he loses control
And the other situation…who knows. But I don’t think we need to conclude that this means Edward did something to Bella or that either one of them is in trouble. That is bound to happen but I think it’s a light-hearted quote.
BTW I really do hope it’s the first situation…dammit they need to do it already! haha
