Part of me is very excited that we have had 2 Rose quotes. I know I am probably alone when I say this but I actually Like Rose. On Stephenie’s website the “I’d” is italicized…so what could that mean? Or is it a mistake…hmmm so confusing! I can’t wait, ohhh my.

If you go on Stepheniemeyer.com, Rosalie’s quote is a little different…. there’s an italicized “I’d.” If you know much about grammar and such, you know that the emphasis is on the “I’d.” Therefore, she must be saying it about someone else, because she wants to beat them dead.
My guess is that Jacob or somebody else did something out of line. Bella, wants to beat them dead for what they did, and Rosalie steps in and says that “she” would like to beat them dead. Like she’s protecting Bella.
Does that make any sense?!

Well physically who can she beat dead? Not a vampire, in which case she’d have to say something like, “I’D like to rip your limbs off and burn you dead.” So, she could either be saying it to Bella–or another human–or I guess to a werewolf… I don’t know how to kill a werewolf really, but maybe Rosalie could beat one dead. She’s pretty fierce.
