Thats horrible!! Why are they even paying attention to those so called fans. Why not report on how beautiful the story was.. how everything was put in the right place. I admit before I drove to the book store to get the final book I wasnt sure on the Team just yet.. but I was re-reading eclipse and I realized it’s always been Edward. I didnt want Jacob to be left alone and I love how he is now apart of her family forever. Things happen for a reason. Jacob got a part of Bella… Nessie :) I wish ET would report on how great it was.. not about those fans that cant see that it was suppose to be this way. I was sitting in front of some fans at the Breaking Dawn Concert at the Royce Hall and they were very rude to Stephenie. It was like they were there to just yell at her work. I had to tell the to Shut Up like three times. Geez…

D is pretty harsh, especially for EW… I’m sure the rating won’t stop them from using the series to sell lots of magazines!

I get this magazine in the mail. I was really upset at how hypocritical they were being. They find one fan in a bookstore who didn’t like the book and try to make it sound like everyone hates it when thats not the case. They are pimping the crap out of Twilight all over their website then do the big Twilight Saga issue then turn around and slam BD. Then at the end of the article, they mention how the sale oh f BD will still be through the roof and that the movie will not suffer because of the so-called “blacklash”. All in all, I’m not taking what they say in this issue seriously. Looks like they just needed something to fill in the page. lol

Bad choice on EW side. I hate how people are being so negative, it’s repulsive. They definitely need a new reviewer. I will not be buying the next issue. I loved Breaking Dawn!

    BOYCOTT! HYPOCRITICAL LOSERS!

First, you do a cover story on Twilight, then you do like 30 interviews with the cast of Twilight & Stephenie Meyer, after that you do a whole bunch of online articles about Twilight, and finally, you bash the book and give it a “D”.
    Entertainment Weekly = EPIC fail!

i bet that the reviewer never read any other book from the saga, so they were confused and they gave it a poor grade..

It’s not like EW is the NY Times Book review/ bestseller list (which Stephenie has been on…)….I would not take a review like that seriously. And I loved the book…

Boycott EW…they are going trough the same syndrom most mags are….after running amazing stories on such things then they come out with the horrible one to get attention and sales.

EW just became as lame and low as every other magazine out there.
    Congrats EW.

    A new low for you.

STUPID REVIEWERS NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU SAY. I loved this book so much and I think any so called “fans” who are just ragging on the book are being ridiculous and so harsh. I was so happy with the last book, although it was different from the others. Different is not bad though! I agree with Jasmine and hope Stephenie Meyer knows her true fans will always be behind her and I hope she is not too hurt from all the feedback on Breading Dawn because I think she did a great job.

I LOVED Breaking Dawn! I was completely satisfied with every part of it. It WAS different, but it was supposed to be! Everyone was starting a new chapter in their lives, so of course it wasn’t going to be like Twilight, New Moon or Eclipse. But I love how Stephenie finished the saga and wrapped everything up in BD. Everything happened the way I hoped it would (with ll of my beloveds happy and healthy) so I have no complaints (well, except that there was no page long description of Edward gloriously naked..but hey, we can’t always get everything we want). EW needs to get new reviewers that have a clue.

that pisses me off. you know us fans loved it. the critics dont know how we feel about these books and the satisfaction we get from reading it. they dont know how we feel when we read these books and how wonderful these books are and how good the story line is.

I’m in on the hate mail…lol
They need to know that there are lots of fans who loved the book and just because a few of those so call fans didn’t like doesn’t mean everyone didn’t either.

If we don’t show them, sadly no-one else will.

ok i have one thing to say about this JENNIFER REESE………

she wouldnt know a good bokk if it hit her in the head!!!

stephanie meyer did a fantastic job with getting all the information as well as the story together so it could end cleanly.
yes of course people would have loved for her to go on with the story but like she said it was not going to be as easy as relating to vampire bella as it was to relate to her human form!!
the story had to end eventually……this book sumarized all the questions(ok not all but most) and had a lot of passion that you could FEEL the emotions running through your veins!!
it was amazing for me but everyone has different opinions but a d was just sooooooooooooooo off the line, i mean it didnt even make sense and her review was a bunch of nothing with some empty thought on top!!!!

i hate her review more than anything…right now lol

and one more thing!!! the only thing that made me upset about the book was that i could never have what bella and edward have … forever would be amazing.

I totally hate people who are dissing this book and Stephenie..to those people, I would just like to say..you SUCK! BREAKING DAWN RULES and so does STEPHENIE MEYER!!! I would also like to give Breaking Dawn an A++++!!

I understand that everyone has an opinion and I will respect that. Ok, with that being said, I loved the book. There were some parts of the book that I didn’t like at all, but again, that’s just an opinion. Stephenie Meyer didn’t write the book for us, she wrote the book for herself. We should be happy to even have the chance to read her writing.

i agree, the ppl who made that review are not deicated fans or have a profound love for the characters. also as a fan i respect stephenie meyer enough to be open minded to breaking dawn as well as have a possitive additude.

And another thing stephenie and her books are loved by so many and she have effected so many lives. I would think EW would know better than to trash Breaking dawn they sure as heck are going to make alot of ppl pretty angry

This is complete nonsense. I say all the people who actually appreciated and enjoyed the book, the true Twilighters, should give the book an A+ in the readers vote because personally, I believe that is the grade that it deserved.

That is horrible!!!! i adored BD!!! i’m very disappointed in this review…i bet the reviewer didn’t even read the books!!! Jennifer Reese (the reviewer) is supposed to be a woman for crying out loud!!! i can’t fathom how she couldn’t like BD….it was an incredible end to the wonderful saga!!!! we should do the right review and send it to EW…the voices of real Twilighters should be heard…not the haters!!!

I don’t know why but I get the feeling that the person who wrote that article probably wasn’t that much of a fan of Twilight to begin with. I’ve been talking to some people and I found out that the people who have only started reading Twilight since it was getting all the attention didn’t like Breaking Dawn, while the longer fans loved it. Chances are the person that wrote the article only read the first three books once while us LOVELY devoted fans read them several times so we got a deeper understanding for the characters and that is why we were so pleased with the outcome–even if some points were a bit disappointing it was still a great ending. Poop on the reviewer, I say! *not literally though lol*

She, as well as others, were comparing her books to Harry Potter. So naturally, we all expect a book as well written and compelling and interesting and as hard to put down as Harry Potter. When (obviously) it doesn’t deliver or even live up close to the high expectations like Harry Potter did, it’s going to get bad reviews. The book was horrible. The only people that liked the books are the 13 year old girls who just want to see a happily ever after.

omg. what does that reviewer know??????? i bet they haven’t been rabidly following the series from the beginning like most of us have. i’ll bet you anything that they just bought the book and read it, then wrote out a review and published it for no other reason than to get paid. they can’t truly appreciate the series: the romance, the action, the well-written-ness (which i am positive is not a word), the………well………perfection. Let the TRUE fans write the reviews.

I loved the book a lot too you guyz but COME ON its not like arguing with them is gonna do much. I was as furious as you when I read that review…but the haters did make one good point. Its called FREE SPEECH. So if you want to argue with them all day long..I cant stop you from wasting your breath. (but trust me another thing i did notice is that theyre saying the same thing over and over again..adn theyll keep doing that). I’m just gonna ignore them and hold on to the knowledge that I loved BD and that was a wonderful ending &great closure, and that stephanie knows that the 50% of the fanbase that loved it are the TRUE twilighters and we still love her lots n lots. ;)
