‘Twilight’ Author Reacts To Harsh Readers Complaints- “It Hurts.” There’s an article and a video, and for those of you sans-BD, there are SPOILERS.

“You see the punch coming; that doesn’t mean it’s not gonna hurt when it hits,” Meyer told MTV News on Thursday. “There’s no way to make everybody happy. When I do one thing that a lot of people want, there’s always the opposite reaction.

So You’ve Read Breaking Dawn, Now What? Plus: Congrats, Larry! No Spoilers!

Whether you loved or hated “BD,” I’m sure many of you are struggling with the same thing I am now that I’ve finished it: What do we do now? Other than read it again and read every scrap of news related to the movie while counting down the hours to December 12, I mean. I’m kind of in a daze now, constantly replaying the events of the entire series in my head over and over, and I’d like to snap out of it soon!

And on a completely unrelated note, the twilight lexicon and the blog are down.

After I finished reading BD I sort of was like in a trance for a few days. I kept recalling when Bella found out she was pregnant and couldn’t quite grasp what had happened until a few days later when I seemed to snap out of my trance. XP

I am and always will be..a HUGE fan of the twilight saga and Stephenie Meyer! I am really mad at the haters right now, can’t they see that by dissing the book they are upsetting stephenie…I mean people come on, I know u weren’t happy with how it turned out but that doesn’t matter, keep it to yourself. Stephenie is the greatest author ever and I totally loved how this saga ended!

I know, I finished it several days ago and I still can’t believe it’s over. I mean, it was a good ending and all but when you wait for something for over a hundred days, and then you finish it in a few hours, you’re kinda left in a daze. I’m writing my own story right now, it’s helping me snap out of it… but I’m sad to say i still caught myself reading it the third time through (=P) I’m trying to find something else to read, but nothing can compare to Twilight, so it’s slow going. Thats why I started my own story. I’m on page 42 rite now

Read “The Host” in the meantime – it is an amazing story and completely unique. Stephenie Meyer is a brilliant and inventive writer and I will read anything that she writes. No story has ever moved me like the Twilight chronicle and I thught BD was a pefect ending – exciting, shocking, twists and turns – what more could you as for?

I agree with Bink, BD gave me closure and I am happy with the way she ended the series. I didn’t get that kind of closure when I finished HP7. I really do hope she writes again from the Twilight universe.

i love breaking dawn!!! it is amazing! i had someone come up the other day and tell me that it was predictable. um…NO!! i had absolutely no idea what anything was going to be like! i was greatly surprised by all the events in the book.

Ok so i know EXACTLY what these people are so upset about, because i am a BD disliker (i don’t wanna say hater lol) I don’t know; the other books, while having some extraordinary things in them, still seemed completely plausible. It seemed like in this one, she was still in her The Host groove which made it waaaay too sci-fi. I don’t feel any closure because SM kinda went back on some rules she established in the beginning which was upsetting and the theme of the books (like choice) are gone. Still sad…

Ok im soooo mad that everyone is being so pissy. Honestyly, EVERYTHING WORKED OUT! dont pretend like u all didnt want the happy ending! i loved it and u all know u do too. and i didnt like new moon the first time i read it but after reading it again i loved it so read it again and stop complaining because i thought it was perfect… im just sad that i dont get to look forward to more books in bellas perspective. Ill miss the saga. But BD was an amazing way to tie up all the loose ends of everything!

I didnt love the book, but im not gonna get all mad at stephenie. This is her series and this is how she wanted it to end. If she’s happy, I’m happy.

i know what she means. i post things on fanfiction.net and fictionpress.com and no matter how many people love it, the one person who hates it is the one that’s gonna stick with u. u just cant let it get u down, and write for the ppl who like it, cuz they;re the ones who really matter.

I think Stephenie did a brilliant job with Breaking Dawn, she should be congratulated. It’s not easy trying to write something from someone elses point of veiw, and than to change the whole tempo or feel of Bella point of veiw “after” was excellent. I would like to see something from Renesme and Jacob in the future – that would be interesting.

i loved breaking dawn. i thought it was the best since twilight itself. i’ll admit, when i got to “book 2″ and jacob’s point of view, i wasn’t thrilled because i wanted it to be all about bella and edward. but i quickly changed my mind. and i loved that we got to experience bella as a vampire; i wasn’t expecting that. and i was totally surprised by the pregnancy. all in all i loved this book. and who cares if bella’s pregnancy isn’t feasible, this book is fiction! and stephenie can do whatever she wants!

I feel bad for Meyer she said it hurt when people were kind of getting pissed off at her, she got different reactions on the book… I loved it. maybe there will be another book besides midnight sun, because in the ending one of the vampires told Carlisle that maybe there will be a day when they won’t need the Volturi

I LOVED BD. Such a good book. Such a good ending. Well, every fan – I mean, TRUE FANS – already said what I want to say, so I’ll just say it’s an amazing book. I’ll love Stephenie to death =)
(Those haters make me so angry and sad and upset! I can’t understand… How could they do that to her???)
