i think there must be more going on, her reaction can’t just be about Midnight Sun, it may be more of a delayed reaction to the bad press of Breaking Dawn.

I feel so bad about what happened to Stephenie– I didn’t read Breaking Dawn online, nor did I even think once about reading the equally as illegal draft of Midnight Sun. It doesn’t seem right, and though I do appreciate the fact that she has pput her foot down, I can’t say as I’m not sad and disappointed. Sad at the fact that we won’t ever see the shiny, polished version of the 12 chapters she posted online, sad that we won’t ever see the rest of the retelling, and disappointed in the so-called ‘fans’ who posted and read it. If you were a fan, you’d be loyal and not read something you know very well the author didn’t approve of. You’d buy the book, or borrow it, even. Not read it online. I have to say, I feel for her– she’s had so much bad feedback on Breaking Dawn, and now this? It’s ridiculous.
seriously, whoever leaked it must be one of the most hated people in the universe, at least in twilight universe.
I can’t stand it anymore! I am signing up in myspace and sending her a true fan message. If she replies. I’ll tell you guys about it!
I am in a complete state of shock. Sadness runs trough every fiber in my body and I can’t even think straight. This has got to be the worse thing in the entire world for all of us fans who have been waiting to read edwards story.
I just hope that this serves as a lesson to Stephenie…never and I mean NEVER give out unfinished or finished manuscripts to anyone other than the pubilshers.

Dear Stephenie Meyer,
I can’t begin to tell you how much I love your work. I got a myspace just to send you this message. I am seriously obsessed with the whole series. It’s the best ever. And, I think that the people that didn’t like Breaking Dawn should just go get a life. I was looking forward to Midnight Sun, but when I checked your website on thursday, I started feeling sad. Whoever did this to you, shouldn’t have, and I can understand how you feel. I already feel horrible, so I can imagine you feel three times worse than that. But, please do write Midnight Sun. I mean not right away. Whenever you can, but just write it and publish it. It’s going to be way good. I haven’t read the draft even if it is on your website because I still think it seems unfair. And, I will not read it. I believe that if I read it, then that makes me a bad person too, and plus, I just don’t want to because I respect you. But, are you going to write Midnight Sun? I am not trying to annoy you, because I bet you got tons of messages like mine. And, probably I am not doing any good either. But, anyways, I hope you can write it. Sorry if this message wasted time, but I just felt confident and wanted to send it to you. Plus, I love writing anyways. Well, I guess this is all I have to say.

Somehow I have faith that one day we will all be holding our own copy of midnight sun.

Melissa! That was awesome! It gives us fans a good voice and tells her how we all feel about the matter. Or at least how I feel anyways… I also haven’t read any of Midnight Sun (except Chapter one from Steph’s original post of it on her website). I too feel that it is still a little wrong, even though she has posted the twelve chapters of it on her website. Thanks for sending such a heartfelt letter! I hope it helps Steph through whatever she is going through right now.
I have full confidence that Steph will eventually have the strength to give Edward a voice! Midnight Sun will be published, Steph won’t let us down. We just need to give her the time and support she needs right now.

She didn’t answer. It doesn’t say the last time she logged on, so I don’t even know is she logged on after I sent it to her or before. Anyways, I bet I am not the only one sending her messages, she will have a lot more to reply to. That’s why I told her that I hope it wasn’t a waste of time. =[
Ugh, this is just horrible. I refuse to read the leaked version–even though she put it on her site. I know it’s not what she wanted, and I won’t do it.

That makes me cry! That’ what she posted on her website’s playlist. That she was posting the playlist because she didn’t know when/if she was going to go back on Midnight Sun. Oh, well. And, thanks! I think she answers all of her messages, it can take up to like 2 weeks, I guess. So, I will just be patient.

Oh! The whole Midnight Sun thing again *rolls eyes*. It’s really annoying me now! First, I was heartbroken, then I was angry, then acceptance and now just annoyance! It’s like it’s haunting us! I want Midnight Sun!!!!!

I’m angry ’cause I think that Stephanie knew from the very beginning what Edward was thinking, that’s not going to change just ’cause she’s upset. She can’t completely change the story, that just wouldn’t happen. AND (there is a big and) she trusted several people with the manuscripts, yes they may have been people she truly trusted but if I were a writer (or should I say, a good writer) I wouldn’t leave my story in anyone’s hands. So that’s the reason for my anger. Though I have gotten over it (“,)
