I think Stephenie is brilliant and I hope Midnight Sun gets published. If it doesn’t, stop blaming her! What is wrong with you people? Yes, she trusted the wrong person. None of you have ever done that? BS. I read all of what Stephenie posted, and FYI – it’s not a spoiler. We already know the story – there is nothing to spoil. Also, who cares if she’s directing videos or hanging out with her family? And “publicity stunt” implies deception – no one did this to be deceptive. SM herself that she didn’t think it was done to be spitful. I hope it does come out and I hope BILLIONS of copies are sold. When someone comed up with something brilliant, they deserve to be sucessful. You people need to grow up and take a chill pill. She’s hurt and upset. Are you going to add to that?

I agree Stephanie. I think it was kinda stupid to give the unfinished product to someone. Even if she truly trusted them.

honestly, i think that this is a publicity stunt. it did not start out that way, and it was an accident that it leaked out, but she is an opportunist. have you noticed all the articles about midnight sun? she is getting so much hype about this book, that when it finally comes out, its sales are going to be huge.
even if its not for publicity, its still kind of her fault for giving copies to untrustworthy people. she seems kind of naive about the writing world. so in the end, because she trusted someone she shouldn’t, she is not going to finish the book for everyone else.

Also I think SM is angry, she mentions the phrase”chagrined” along with an evil laugh in her blog. One reader of the leaked chapters bad mouthed the work by saying Stephenie used the word chagrined far too many times. If only SM would read the good things that were said and not get hung up on the bad.

I believe the video plans were in action before the leak occurred. I remember reading about the music video at least a week and a half ago, prior to the leak.
