I almost forgot that day too, because no one said or did anything, not even at my school…I can’t belive anyone would actually forget, that was my whole day at school watching the TV, there were absolutely no classes. (Iwas 11)

I have a friend who has a friend who’s dad died in 9/11 on his first day of work. How sad. A tragedy, indeed.

It was routine for me to slam my alarm off early in the morning. Not on September 11th. For some unknown reason, I decided to just lay there in my bed and listen to the radio… “Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center—Thousands dead…” I was so shocked, but not completely aware of how huge a deal this was, even at the age of 12. Last night, my Mom and I watched a 2 hour special on 9/11. I cried, and I felt so helpless and devastated. What happened 7 years ago on September 11th was a true tragedy. And I feel the pain for all those who lost loved ones and friends… I’m Canadian, but I still feel pain for all those who lost loved ones and friends… Rest in Peace: Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Daughters, Sons, and Heroes. You will always be remembered.

Thank you for the post. Though of course it’s important to remember that it wasn’t just the World Trade Center that was hit, but also the Pentagon, and many good people also lost their lives in United Flight 93.

Thank you so much for posting this. It means alot to me because my dad is a firefighter, and was almost sent out on the rescue team. Thank God he wasn’t.

i remember that day so clearly, and i am australian and the shock hit pretty hard here. i was 10 and i woke up and here it was sept 12th and i was like what is the twin towers? and then everyone was talking about. my friends dad woke her up and goes ‘you are waking up to the worst day in history’ and she was like what?
it was a very delicate discussion yesterday, i wish i was old enough to understand then

I was 8. schools hardly leave a memorial time anymore. its sad. we had like a two second moment of silence and got right back into work as if nothing happened

I was 13, sitting in Mr. Fleetwood’s 8th grade English class… and i just remember thinking that I’m from Illinois… so why are all of us scared about something happening in new york? back then, I was way too young to understand the devastation it was bringing… I feel so terrible for all of those who lost loved ones in that horrible tragedy… I will always remember that day. so sad. . and don’t you think it’s time to get troops out of Iraq? 7 years is long enough. just my opinion though. I guess it’s because one of my friends died in Iraq… I definitely 100% support the troops… just not the war. enough people have died in the face of terror.

When I went downstairs this morning my mother asked me if I knew what day it was, and when I said yes, she then asked me if I remembered where I was when I found what had happened 7 years ago. I answered without hesitation, “3rd period, 9th grade biology.” That was such a horrible event that there is no way I could ever forget, nor should anyone else. I am taking time today to think about those who were lost and pray for the ones that were left behind. Let us always remember this day, and more importantly the people.
