I can’t even believe they are grouping True Blood in the same category with Twilight. I watched True Blood and seriously whoever came up with the idea for that show should be shot. The whole appeal about vampires is they are dangerous, drink blood and are “forbidden”, ya know? And now they’re just out in the open and on tv… I dont think so. Really lame. But just my opinion.

I think there are a lot of similarities between True Blood and Twilight. More so now that i have read the book that True Blood is based off of (which is so much better!). But I liked it. Now could I have lived without the explicit sex scenes? Absolutely. But I like the concept. Yes, it makes them seem forbidden when they are in hiding or trying to not show who they are, but it also brings up the idea of how can they forbidden if they don’t really exist. I think there is something to be said for the vampires being out in the open about who and what they are. It makes them seem unattainable and attainable at the same, and makes you more curious. I just liked it.
