i think it was a hebrew story and in it jacob is the son of rebecca and he becomes in love with rachel so he makes a deal with her father. he must work for him for 7 years before jacob can marry his daughter. jacob does it but when he asks to marry rachel as promised he has his other daughter hide behind her wedding veil and marries jacob. the father then says if jacob works with him for another 7 years he can marry rachel instead and so he does.

i just found this interesting before and read it. it really is weird how connected the four names are and they ended up being in not only an ancient hebrew story but also in the twilight saga.
