OK FIRST THEY CHOOSE THAT PRICK TO PLAY OUR BELOVED EDWARD AND NOW THEY MADE HIM INTO A DOLL?!?!?!?!? WOW JUST WOW. and why would anyone want THAT!?!? I mean this guy is getting WAY too much fame.and that doll is just creepy. seriously gross

I bet all or mostly all people on this site think Rob is hot and maybe even the perfect Edward. That was just mean. I don’t think it would be nice if someone wrote online that you are ugly….

Woo! *high 5’s* I have always liked him from the day they picked him as Edward. Some people that hated him before love him now. But there are also the people that have always loved him.

Ugh. I love Rob as Edward… but action figures for the movie. :c I don’t like seeing Twilight turned into a franchise, even Harry Potter didn’t have the movie cover book.
Anyway, the last few links are really messed up. Its’ like a scavenger hunt gone wrong.

I don’t think Rob is hot. I find him fairly unattractive, really (and old). But I’m sure they’ll make him good in the movie and merchandise, which they’ve been doing a decent job at so far. I find Taylor Lautner way more attractive
I wonder if the doll sparkles in the daylight? Now that wouldn’t that be cool?
i generally agree with lynn – except i don’t think taylor is THAT MUCH more attractive than rob…
alright, general consensus is that rob is a crowd-favorite… i stand in the minority, but sit on the fence… not a huge fan over-all, but think he might ACT ok as edward, generally not impressed overall… the doll seems creepily accurate, though still somewhat cool. the bookmarks and posters are pretty cool, and i really like the cullen crest t-shirt… i just really don’t get why they put the word “twilight” on it, backwards… weird.
yummyrob, i think it would be cool if the dolls were sparkly, too. not OVERLY sparkly, but believably, (semi-) accurately sparkly… i’m curious to see what the other dolls will look like now…

I sooo have to get the new shirt! Sadly the borders around here doesn’t have the posters or bookmarks..but hopefully they will get them soon, so until then I will continue to go to hot topic for all my twilight merchandise, lol!
and I also sooo can’t wait for the doll to come out!! I hope it won’t be expensive though.
I work at a Borders and I know the bookmarks and posters have been on order for the stores for weeks now. All Borders are getting them, I’m just not sure when. Yes, I will be getting, probably also the Jacob poster as well because I’m so very Switzerland.

I don’t think a comment such as that is very kind or necessary. It is cruel and unneeded.
Plus what kind of constructive criticism is that exactly? How does one improve ones skill with a silly comment like “he’s ugly”?
I know I am not alone when I say ….
He seems perfect in for the role. Not because he is very nice to look at and (that’s my opinion) but I do feel there is more to this young actor then meets the eye.
True he is raw in his talent but look at the potential there! Please don’t be cruel remember what your mother taught you… If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all… I’ll take it a step further and say if you don’t have a constructive opinion for our young actor who has been chosen to take on the difficult of the greatest fictional character (Edward) Role please don’t say anything at all. Remember to be kind and positive we are twilight fans and we should never be anything less.
p.s. don’t underestimate Mr. Robert Pattison his talent has yet to really be surfaced

And yes I have had the privilege of meeting Mr. Pattison a couple of years ago and I will disagree he was most agreeable and pleasant. Not to mention kind.
Please don’t take any comment any twilighter says personally, I promise most of the world isn’t out to get you. At least this twilgihter isn’t.. And as far as our differences in our opinions about Mr. Pattison, well dear we will have to agree to disagree. Take care fellow twilighter.

OKAY, PEOPLE, ABOUT THE WHOLE “ROB IS/ISN’T HOT” THING, JUST SHUT UP. honestly. it’s called OPINION, okay???????? if you think rob is hot, that’s fine. if you don’t, that’s okay too. and as for all you people who say, “ew, he is so not right for the role of edward,” then let me ask you this: who exactly would you cast as the perfect edward????? face it: the only perfect edward is the one your imagination conjured up when you first read twilight. deal with it. god.
sorry if this sounds like really annoyed but it just makes me so mad when people express an opinion and then other people jump all over them trying to make them join their side. we don’t need twilighters at each other’s throats about the casting choices, especially since the cast is like REALLY old news.
whatever. personally, i think rob is hot, i just think his hair is SO not right for edward. (i get VERY particular about hairstyles.)
I think the Edward that they cast for the movie is a little better than the one I pictured, and that is going to be how I will picture Edward when I read the books. I think Rob is the perfect Edward.
Just to contribute to the debate, Rob is very sweet and he makes the perfect Edward.. but I dont think hes that hott as himself.
