Robert Pattinson was on the Mexican radio show called Los 40 Principales (The 40 Principles). It’s mostly in Spanish (just Rob is in English) so I’ll translate it for you guys below. (Thanks to Vale fromTwilightPoison for the audio)

Here is a rough translation of the clip by me, Geo:

Woman: This week we have an exclusive interview with Robert Pattinson, protagonist of Twilight.

Man: Learn why the fans of Los 40 Principales took a picture with him, interviewed him, and got the chance to talk to him.

[Some ADs]
Lets start the show! This is a THX sound program

Woman: Hello, how are you? I’m Faviola Aragon.

Man: And I’m Rodrigo Martinez and we are in Mexico City….. And in Guadalajara, Pedro.

Pedro: Hello. How are you? ….. Today is Friday, and like all Fridays, we talk about movies.

Woman: That’s right Pedro

Man: This week we have brought to you, Robert Pattinson, who we’ve seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric. Now he is Edward is Twilight, the bestseller novel of the moment.

Pedro: Twilight, is Stephenie Meyer’s first book in a series of 4 [books total] that tells the love story between Bella and the mysterious Edward, who hasn’t aged since 1918. He’s a vampire, and yea he’s immortal.

Woman: With Edwards visit, played by Robert Pattinson is the start of the various events we are going to have. Because, Los 40 Principales, of course, is the official radio station of Twilight.

Man: In this exclusive interview, Robert tells us that:

ROB: I guess it’s like, weird, cos its a teenage film where there is no… the whole point of the story is that they can’t, like have sex, or anything… cos he’s a vampire…. and So I guess its kinda good for parents and the whole story is a big metaphor for umm… abstinence.. and I guess thats good for parents [laughs]. Yeah and umm… I guess Bella is a pretty good role model for girls. I mean she’s sensible and… I dunno…. oh so passionate at the same time. I think, I mean its very inoffensive to parents and at the same time it is very bizarre. The story is so… its not like watching a kiddie film for something.

Man: There is no doubt that this is a phenomenon. Ever since the second theatrical trailer in the middle of June, it has been watched by 1.6 million people. And more than 5.5 million books have been sold, just in the USA! Making it the book most bought in the whole year according to the New York Times.

Woman: A phenomenon that we found out by the number of emails we received who wanted to meet Robert. Only 10 lucky girls got the chance to meet him, take a picture, oh give him a kiss, and interview him.

Man: Tamara asks: Who is your favorite rock band?

ROB: I really like Van Morrison.

Man: Carla asks: What do you think of the book?

ROB: Umm.. [laughs] I like it! I thought it was very different than other books

Man: Gisela asks: What is was your favorite scene in the movie?

ROB: There umm.. one little scene where… just after the car crash.

Man: Fernanda asks: I have heard some of your music, are you going to record an album?

ROB: Not for the time being. I just… I do music music… I have music just in case I fail at acting.

As we walked, I felt myself settling into another version of myself, the self I had been with Jacob. A little younger, a little less responsible. Someone who might, on occasion, do something really stupid for no good reason. — Bella Swan, Eclipse | Chapter 4
