You already have everything. You have a whole life ahead of you — everything I want. And you’re going to just throw it away. Can’t you see that I’d trade everything I have to be you? You have the choice that I didn’t have, and you’re choosing wrong! — Rosalie Hale, Eclipse | Chapter 7

I JUST saw my text message and I was very confused so I just HAD to come on to check if you guys were alright!
Im happy you guys are ok, but, im still like o.o???? about this all!
So, what REALLY happened??? >_>…
i WAS there and it wasnt as bad as what this says… IT WAS WORSE. i talked to security after and found out it was horrible. first we had the people who tried to stay in a RV from texas….did they not see that edward was going to be in texas tomorrow? then there was the people forming so early a mom took in to herself to start a list of names and numbering people, which was thorwn out the door since she was not athorized to do so. and then the screaming and running started. people started running towards the front of the mall while a man from hot topic was on a mega phone telling everyone to form A LINE, and then thats when people were screaming and yelling. then two lines were formed which then the police got involved. the two lines were formed into one….then we had to turn into a long double up line so we had to push back the line yet the mob didnt want to move from the front, thats when we found out a purse was stolen, a visa card was stolen,
shoes were being thorwn, parents were yelling, ids were screaming, then the girl got her nose broken. AND THEN thats when we heard there was a little girl stuck in the mob whou couldnt breathe and passed out and the mob wasnt letting the ambulance or ANYONE get to her …NO ONE HELPED HER! so then that was the final straw, but no one left easily. lots waited till the police got involved and told EVERYONE to leave. . . but then the mall finally got open and the running started…the same thing happened at hot topic and a long line formed down the mall to go into hot topic to buy stuff… yet the staff said they were not going to sell those shirts. also shoes were being thorwn and a girls neck was cut up do to peope in the mob trying to pull others back …they pulled on her necklace cutting her neck up.
its insane and im glad it was cancelled. i stood in the line and witnessed the worst of the female fans, and their parents! The mob was mostly full of the younger crowd and guess how many of their parents just stood by watching??? like 40!! just WATCHING! none of the parents helped! i was so disappointed in the fans that didnt listen to simple requests! if they would have listened and their parents were responsible the meet and greet might still be on!
The San Jose news says that the event is cancelled. I was planning to go and see Rob but I would not have liked being pressed up against the glass doors. Did the hot topic people not think that not many people whould show up today. They should have had better control of the mob that arrived at the mall. I am sad for the people who came so far just to see Rob. Maybe the fans should get their money back for having to purchase the special t-shirts.
WOW it was cancelled!
well i guess that’s what MOST people deserve to get because they were being so rude and freaking crazy!
the people who were being patient have now wasted their time because of the rude people:(
hey, I love twilight=0Its so ausome that its all i think about every day.10 MORE DAYS UNTIL THE MOVIE COMES OUT!!!!!!!!I am so exited…. Edward u rock….and your smokin hott.
i watched rob on view from the bay and he said that the signing was NOT cancelled. i have some friends who are up there right now, and they’ve confirmed that he is coming tonight at 6. however, the people in line right now already have the shirt and wristband. sooo if your thinking about going up there right now, your chances are pretty slim. you might get into the Q&A afterwards though. good luck!
i heard it was cancelled. it’s a shame that a once-in-a-lifetime event had to be cancelled just because people couldn’t be mature. i really wanted to go see kristen stewart but i’m slowly changing my mind.
IT IS NO LONGER CANCELLED
i spoke to the manager of hot topic it is now officially back on! rob did not want it cancelled and wrist bands are being sold
Feiticeira, Chris showed us his wristband in one of the videos so…Im guessing geo got hers aswell ^_~!
OK, so im watching the one where you’re all waiting outside of hottopic and the guard is saying NO camera’s, how did you guys sneek your camera in =O!?!
they just had a little clip on the daily 10 on E!. They talked to Rob, Kristen, and some of the cast about Twilight getting close to hitting theaters. Robs hair kida looke d a bit short, which I think its better
No, it wasn’t canceled. Most of the people who were there from 3 AM got shoved out and told to leave around 9 AM. So my mom and I drove the three hours home with nothing only to find out that it wasn’t canceled after all. I was devastated and disappointed. I absolutely adore the books and I wasn’t only there to meet Rob because he’s gorgeous. I’m not a screaming fan girl. I was there to meet the person who attempted to bring the literary character of Edward to life. I stand my ground and don’t blame most of the crowd, except the people in the extreme front and back because they refused to budge and comply. The people in the middle, including myself, were trapped and couldn’t move anywhere whatsoever. I was screaming my head off trying to tell people to move back, but I didn’t mean any harm by that. All that happened was that I was pushed into a planter. We needed three things at this event: More security, more organization, and more megaphones. The women who tried to organize that list, even if it wasn’t authorized, deserve a medal or something. They did what Hot Topic should have done in the first place. If that one girl hadn’t made a dash for it, this wouldn’t have happened. It was like a domino effect or something. In the end, people who hadn’t even waited there that long got the stuff and met him. Let me ask a question though. What is any different from that list made with everyone who was there FIRST in an orderly fashion, not disturbing anyone, and this rescheduling business? It didn’t end up being the first 500. It ended up being the first 500 of the second mob of people. I won’t be purchasing anything else from Hot Topic in SF at least. I got a Twilight hoodie before this madness luckily because I would assume all of that stuff sold out as well.
I was there. It was worse than what the news showed. I didnt end up being one of the lucky 500, but I did wait and see him leave the mall! It was even madness then, ppl trying to take pics and people tryna follow him out. I got a pic of him walking away But it was so crazy, he went out the back of metropark which was upstairs two stores to the left of hot topic, and then he waited until he could find the most empty place to leave from.. :/ I went at like 4am, and when it was cancelled we went to go take a nap at my sisters’ apt (my friend and I), – big mistake bc we took the muni, so it wouldve taken too long even if we went when we found out again. I’m so disappointed! But im glad I at least got to see him exiting, at the very least.
cant believe there were ppl from hawaii and phoenix! agh.
Oh GOD. That is horrible. That is without a doubt the worst part of fandom…What the HELL were those people thinking? That is insanity. LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED! A little girl fainted, a woman’s neck was cut, and someone broke their nose. No, that is not passion that is barbarian. I am so pissed off because I thought we all were more civil than this….WHAT THE HELL. Robert should have just let them cancel it, I’m sorry, but when people are INJURED that is WAY WAY too far. I am so ashamed of the Twilight Fandom right now…Administrators on sites need to start having rules set up for public appearances and anything ‘Twilight’ related in the future. I am sorry…I really am never this angry, but from what I heard this morning I am beyond disgusted. I “love” Rob Pattinson as well, but screaming, pushing, shoving, arguing, cramming, trying to get ahead, THAT IS HORRIBLE. Please, please, start getting this problem NOW. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. EVER.
Eli Nicole, that sounded awful! I know the fans are like obsessed and everything, but it has gone too far. I can’t believe no one helped. I’m really disappointed in the Twilight fans that were there.
as bad as it was the event still went on, yet i chose not to go but did inform fan sites i could get on without signing up and myspace fan sites that it was uncancelled via TV as rob announced it. rob also did thesigning and since the Q&A was cancelled apparently came out of hot topic and met everyone out side the hot topic entrance from what insiders tell me
I agree with everyone here, this is not the way any fans should act! I feel soo bad that people got hurt, those poor people couldn’t even get help because nobody would move out of the way, I mean really, I am a total twilight fan but I would never go so far as to push people and hurt them just to see the stars. Ya know, soon people are gunna start calling us pyschos, and that’s not what we are, yes we love Stephenie Meyer and her books but still, the people who attended that event should have more respect and should have listened to the police when they said to move out of the way. As a true Twilighter, I feel horrible this got out of control, let’s just hope the next events this week are more civilized!
I just have to say that I’m shocked and bewildered by how everyone acted at this event, ESPECIALLY the PARENTS!!! We were all there for a common interest and a common goal, to see Rob because we were all fans of the TWILIGHT saga. Instead, we had PARENTS yelling at the top of their lungs to children more than half their age, insulting authority like the first security guard on scene which I have to say is very admirable for trying to maintain peace with everyone and THREATENING 14 year olds with a beating if they stood in front of them when it came time to line up.
YOU PARENTS ARE A DISGRACE UPON THIS NATION!!! Its no wonder why the kids conducted themselves with such disrespect because they probably obtained that behavior FROM YOU!!!
I heard parents coaching their kids to not let anyone get in their way and to run as fast as they could to the door. If your child was hurt during this, then you deserve to suffer the consequences. How dare you put your child in harms way and blame others for the incident when clearly the first person who should have stopped them was yourselves!!!
Now I can’t say all the parents acted in such an irrational way because I took the time to speak with a few of them and was happy to know that at least a FEW had a good head on their shoulders and weren’t too focused on getting the chance to meet Rob than the safety of their own child.
And to the mom with the bobbed hair who was yelling wildly at all the adolescents in the early morning because you were upset with the fact that Hot Topic never advertised anywhere that there would be a list started before 7am, you really should see an anger management specialist!! You are completely out of control and out of line with everything!! I saw you get in the face of a girl who was half your age and then threatened the security guard and to top it off you tried claiming that you were just worried for the safety of your child. Unfortunately you’re nothing more than a liar and a rude old woman. If you were that concerned for your child you would have been there at 2am because if you knew you had to be there that early than you must have known you were facing a possible mob. For goodness sake woman, your child is YOUR responsibility, NO ONE ELSE’S!!
To everyone else who behaved themselves appropriately I just have to say that you guys are what real fans are made of. You guys are the true TWILIGHT fans because clearly the ones who were at the front mob were just screaming teeny bopping fans who cared more for meeting the pretty face on screen than the person portraying the character we all know and love. 3 cheers for all of you!
This is so rediculous. People act as if they have never seen a movie star! I read an article about it when i got on my internet this morning and it just embarrasses me to be a part of these fans when i hear things like this. What are we all children? I am not! I am freaking 20 years old. I am sure that that group wasn’t all young people who don’t know how to take commands and listen to authority. So rather than make our group of fans look bad next time, we should just listen. Its not like they wern’t going to let you all in the store!
I was in the singing in SEATTLE. and it was good.. very good organized i was surprice at first i thought it was going to get really nasty and dirty but it was great the cast was nice and omg Rachelle Lefevre is so pertty!! i love her Orange hair.. and Taylor Lautner OMG!!! IS SO HOT!!!!!! MY LITTLE NIECE ALMOST FAINTED “NO LIE!!!” HE WAS SO SWEET. AND NICE AND EVERYTHING HE HAS LIKE THIS PERFECT SMILE WITH HIS PERFECT WHITE TEETH!!!! *aHhhhhH* AND Edi Gathegi was very nice tooo.. they all were so nice and sweet it was the best thing ever… THANK GOD nothing back happend to us.
so. i was at the dallas one this morning. despite the pouring rain, it was ridiculous. at least they had a lot of cops on hand. the thing that pissed me off though was that they picked certain people (kids/teenies) to go get the wristbands. everyone else was turned away. it seemed like there was less than 500 people there today. i didn’t get one but oh well. ::sigh::
Mrs.Cullen I think everything you said is completely right. I AM embarrassed to be part of the fans. As much us I love twilight and the cast there is no way i would of acted that way, nobody over there should of acted that way. I mean really, im speechless, i cant believe something like this happend. I am afraid people are going to think we are just psychos, anyway probably some people already do think that. people like them are making the other fans look bad. i still cant believe it, i just have to say i feel very very sorry for everyone there. sorry for those who got hurt and sorry for those who acted like complete idiots and crazy lunatics. pathetic. a disgrace to us twilighters.
I was there and it was awful! I will ever go to anything like it again. My sister was one of the people who was injured and she she couldn’t even escape the crowd! She broke her finger and as soon as we got her we left immediately. we were only there for like a half hour and we were shuved and pushed and worse! When I stood there a guy who looked about 40 purpously shuved me and now I have a bruise on my arm and a bad headache. That was the first and only time I will ever go somewhere where there are twilight fans! I am dissapointed and shocked by people’s behaviour! My little sister say she doesn’t want to be a fan any more and now it looks like she won’t even read breaking dawn because of this! the out of controle fans are ridiculous and stupid!
It is stupid! I am so ashamed of the fans who just went and screamed and don’t even treat the actors like real people. Well, here’s some news for those fans…
They ARE real people and these are their JOBS! Treat them like real people, don’t make them deaf by screaming and creep them out.
And oh my goodness, that is out of hand, the pushing, shoving, screaming, yelling. I cannot belive how immature some people were. Honestly, they are going to make true fans look like idiots.
this is another reason sometimes i’m just ashamed to be a part of this fandom.
yes, we all are obsessed with this book and very excited for this movie.
but all of this…to see rob pattinson?
the people who acted in such a disgraceful and disrespectful manner cease to realize that rob is not edward cullen.
he is a man who is PLAYING him in a movie.
he is a normal, real, human being just like the rest of us. sure, he truly captures the character and is a good actor. but still. people should not have gotten hurt, in ANY way, just to see another human being.
no one should have a broken nose because of immature people screaming “oh mahh gahhh rob’s so hottttt”.
really? are you serious?
i’m obsessed, i admit. but i never want to be at an event where my safety is at risk or even just being in a crowd of people who cannot shut their mouths to stop screaming for one minute.
to those who acted in this shameful way: grow up. you’re embarrassing the rest of us mature and a tad more realistic fans.
this link goes to the dallas report with robert where he says he knows the SF was cancelled to send the crowd away but it never really was cancelled, and then admits he should not have said that
Holly, I was at the Dallas event today too; the order was better, but the cops weren’t really doing anything. So why the hell were they there???? They said “no running/cussing/pushing or you’ll be arrested” and then they started selling tickets 30 minutes early and then once the police said GO, the rules went right out the window!!!!!!!!!!! So what’s the point if you’re not going to follow them AT ALL???? I was one of the first 25 people or so, got there @ 3am and I didn’t get a ticket. I was so pissed, there’s not enough words to describe how pissed I was. None. I was very disappointed in how the cops handled it.

Good to see that you are both alright. Was waiting for an update after I read the news about trampling and people getting injured this morning.
so glad you guys are okay! your such troopers! :] hopefully the whole thing wont be cancelled :/
i’m glad you guys are okay.
this is crazy.
i find it odd i haven’t heard a thing from the seattle people because they’re doing the twilight tour there today too…
I JUST saw my text message and I was very confused so I just HAD to come on to check if you guys were alright!
Im happy you guys are ok, but, im still like o.o???? about this all!
So, what REALLY happened??? >_>…
what was that? what happened? what does that have to do with twilight?
Did anyone just see the cast of twilight on EXTRA
Does your shirt say ‘I survived the mob of Twilight fans in San Fransico’? =P
i don’t think Summit needs to worry about opening day numbers. Glad you guys are ok

HUGE line up in Toronto to get wristbands for Saturday’s Twilight event…I like the sign the girl is holding up….HILARIOUS!

OME! i think i saw u there i think i was like right next to you! gosh im so blind haha Robert was so HOT!!!!!!!!
