Nikki – I highly doubt that Twilight will be able to beat Titanic. That kind of thing was really a once in a lifetime event. The only film that has come the closest in recent years has been Dark Knight and that still fell well short of even tying with it. However the film has probably made its money back with total filming budget and promotion which was probably about half of the filming budget by the end of this weekend which is wonderful news for the franchise. Count in DVD sales and merchandise and Summit will be making a VERY nice profit. Which means that with New Moon they’ll happily be willing to happily pour more money into filming which means better special effects, more time, and overall a better film. So no, it won’t make Titanic-type of grosses but it will do better than even the studio thought it will! |

Casting was great. Acting was good. Director should never be allowed to even see another movie in her life. I didn’t expect the movie to be as good as the book by far. But what she did was inexcusable. Yeah, sure, you have to cut out some parts in order to fit the book into a 2 hour movie, but to add parts and lines that never even happened. What the hell was she thinking? It’s taking all of my strength to forget what I saw at the movie and remember the book itself. Now I have to reread the first book in order to flush the movies poison from my system. |

hi .. well i am a really huge admirer of the twilight saga, and i have been since the books first came out. i havent been able to afford plane tickets to get across the country to the premiere or cd releases or anything, but im doing everything i possibly can. im going to see the movie for the third time soon. i really just wanted to get my oppinion out there. i want to thank stephenie meyer, because i have always felt like my world was missing something, when i watched my brothers relationships, and how they come and go, or when my friends parents did nothing but fight, and i knew that love is supposed to be so much more, than it can be. but everyone told me, like shut up fairtytales dont exist. im not saying that they do, but once i read the twilight saga, it gave me hope. I smiled and thought to myself, someone out there knows that love should be this precious thing, that you would literally give everything for. when i walk around in daily life, i dont get to see people looking into each others souls and seeing there life in someone else. but then i open one of these books, and i know that there is a mind like stephenie’s out there, and i just know, that it is possible, 2 people can really love each other. and then i dont feel so alone. i feel like maybe theres something out there worth going through all of this for….. && i thought the twilight casting was just perfect:) |

Peter Travers of Rolling Stone called the film “the best of the series so far, [with] the laughs, the jitters and the juice to make even nonbelievers wild about Harry”.[7] The film opened to a worldwide 5-day opening of $333 million, third all-time, and grossed $939 million total, the second to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End for the greatest total of 2007………. Twilight is a good movie but i don’t see it passing Harry Potter forget getting near Titanic! |

I agree with Adam…casting was great, but the changes made were really unnecessary…Since when did Carlisle have to tell Edward…”stop, you’re killing her” when he was sucking out the venom?..And what ws with the wierd sneaker and leggings with her prom dress…what happened to the stilletto heel? |

The musical score ruined some parts for me. It sounded so low-budget. Surprising considering how important music is to Stephenie. Also, hated how awkward they made Edward out to be. And hated the part where he dragged her angrily to the woods. Edward would have never touched Bella like that. |
