So… Apparently Summit is NOT confirming anything about Weitz as the new director. In a new article MTV says that studio representatives have said this:
“No, it is not official,” a studio representative told MTV News on Thursday evening (December 11). “We are not confirming anything at this point. He is not signed on as the director.”
“We are not confirming,” echoed a second rep.
So yea, the rumors continue to spread about the mystery director but keep in mind that nothing is for sure until it comes from Summit Ent. Read MTV’s article here.

This is very confusing! But I hope he won’t direct New Moon, I didn’t like the golden compass !
Lisa at twilightmoms.com recommends twilighters write summit letters (you know the kinds with stamps) to get our voices heard. So whatever your opinions, let them know twilighters really care about these books. I want to tell them to stick to the book for New Moon and to keep Taylor. I’m not Team Jacob, but I feel like we should stay with the cast we’ve got.

I wasn’t over the moon about The Golden Compass but sure he gave it a bash and I enjoyed it. I don’t know much about directors or anything so I really don’t mind.

i really didnt enjoy “the golden compus”.
he didnt do the book justice.
so i guess were just going to have to wait and see how he does.
