New Moon Movie Release Date

There are many new articles confirming the New Moon movie release date:
Summit Entertainment spokesman Paul Pflug says “New Moon” is following just 12 months after the first movie, opening Nov. 20, 2009, over the same weekend as “Twilight” this year.

Now with New Moon, the Twilight franchise repeats the one-year gap of the first two Harry Potter movies, which opened on the same pre-Thanksgiving weekends in 2001 and 2002.

Also scheduled to hit theaters on the same weekend are Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, the computer animated film Planet 51, and the Farrelly brothers’ take on The Three Stooges.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see one or two of those films move quickly from that release. Twilight had a huge impact on the release of Disney’s Bolt. Both Planet 51 and the Three Stooges share the same demographic. The other thing of note is that Summit is basically pushing this film into production as soon as they possibly can so that they can make as much money off the franchise as possible. Lionsgate did the same thing with the SAW franchise, which suffered as a result.

I know there pushing it but is there a way they can push it and make it AMAZING??? if so I hope so. and I hope they just don’t stop with Eclipse. but you know.
If its true that they are filming New Moon and Eclipse at the same time, and want BOTH done before New Moon’s release date, I really dont agree with it. They need to give that actors and crew some time to really make it a great movie or it will turn into just a add on to Twilight. I am really excited for the film though, and I sure hope its good!
i hope its not too rushed. t will stink though when they have them both done so fast bc then its like they are over. They arent stretched out as long.

I AM kinda worried about all of this.. :/ it DOES seem like a rush.. besides after twilight went BIG most of the actors got a lot of offers and signed to them as well.. how the heck are they suppose to cope with all of the movies in their backs!?!? They BETTER make it a GREAT movie or else we will all be pretty upset.. I’d rather it take long and deliver a good movie than a rushed one…
im actually happy that they are making the movie and realising it quickly as possible. so what if summit wants to make as much as money as possible. i would do the same thing in their posititon. im am sooo excieted
What’s the deal with it being so rushed? I’d think they’d want to take their time and make sure it’s done properly and stay true to the book…instead of throwing it together. I have a feeling it will be butchered and that the dialouge will suffer – like it did in Twilight (i’m not sure though if it’s the director’s fault or the screenwriters’ on that)….are they rushing because they don’t care?

That is fast but I can’t wait. I hope they are working on the script more and make it better. I hope they don’t rush it so much that it takes away from the book. Oh well we liked Twilight and it wasn’t perfect. I just hope they get better and not worse.

I missed the 1st one in the theatre, I did not want to see it until I read the first 2 books. I am a late Twilight bloomer..lol..I read both books over Xmas this year & watched the movie & was ADDICTED! I knew I would be..I am 32 kinda old compared to most that are in love w/Edward but no matter the age of her a lady loves a gentleman..no matter his age either..lol. is it robbing the cradle if he is over 1oo? LOL…

I loved Twilight & noticed the cuts between the book & film (Jacob never danced w/Bella at her prom to “warn” her about Edwards per his dads request) Etc. I am STOKED about New Moon..I just finished reading “Breaking Dawn” tonight..I hope that is NOT the end…

After seeing the movie & reading the books I dream about the scenes w/me in Bellas place..Silly huh?? I am too damned old for this! LOL..
I’d rather them make a realy great movie and it take a long time so when we go see it we think that it was worth the wait rather than them rush it and make it suckish and then when we go see it we are like…we crap that was a waste I wish it would have been made better! And they better not stop with Eclipse cuz if they do its like we are yearning for more but we never get it (unless you are smart like most people and read the books). And I hope that Stephinie Meyer hurries up with “Midnight Sun” because I have heard about it and now I want it and I think that making the books from Edward’s point of view is one of her better ideas! lol i <3 twilight!
i agree with JACKIE they should take as much time as necessary. We want quality not rushed crap lol.but i cant wait for it though it is going to be good/greaatt. ^^
i’m soooooo depressed that i finished all the books in less than a week (couldnt stop reading them!!) Oh why did it have to end?!! And what an amazing film twilight was!!! Pattinson’s American accent is spot on!! Jasper is pretty hot too!
Well, I saw the movie before I read the book, and the Twilight craze hadn’t yet hit, so it was just another movie for me… I wasn’t too impressed by it, but having read all the books now, I’m dying to see it again in the theatres, as I understand the story now, and the love that Bella & Edward have for each other!
The books were magic, and I’m 26, I feel a little silly being in love with a fictional character, but isn’t that why we read? To adapt to another time, another life… fall into their place. I think the books were magic, and really looking forward to New Moon (the movie)… I hope the end with Edward and the Volturi isn’t long and drawn out as in the book though… it went a bit over my head!
I hope Stephanie and the directors read the comments of their fans as to what they decide of the direction New Moon, Ecplipse & Breaking Dawn are going to take. i hope they don’t rush it… It would be really disappointing… and these books deserve to be so much more than a 2 sec job!
Robert Pattinson is dream material, his perfect face, dirty messed up hair… angelic voice! I can idolise, but it’s not going to do much now. All I can hope for is meeting a gentleman with all the qualities I could only wish for in a man… the perfect gentleman that I can call my own! Awwww…

Why are Jasper and rosalie’s last name Hale? And everyone else’s is Cullen?
Jasper and rosalie,a last names are hale because they are upholding the appearance of foster kids. They were meant to look like they were brother and sister hence the blond hair. Seeing as they are in high school rosalie and Emmett can’t very well have the last name like they are brother and sister because they are married and yet if they had the last name that is the same the it would look as if she was dating her brother.
Is new moon and eclipse being released together as a joint movie or on two separate dates?
