Michael: I have nothing against Taylor personally. I think he’s great and tremendous at what he does. But it’s just adjusting to the fact that Jacob has to grow. It’s a matter of going with the storyline. It goes with the territory. I see so much in Jacob Black that I feel like wasn’t brought to the first film that if I had the opportunity, I would totally create an amazing character. He’s more than just a guy who walks around and smiles and likes Bella. It’s just too one-sided. It’s two colors and I feel like Jacob is full of a hundred colors.

Why mike shouldn’t be jake:
1. mike seems like he knows exactly what should be done even when he hasnt read the books
2. when you look at him doesn’t have that jacob charm, smile or anything
3. can you really picture kirstin kissing him (yuck)
Why Taylor should be Jake:
1. he has already started the phenominon no one will be able to ajust. So al of a sudden we are going to start selling team Mike things its not right. Its like running a race half way then turning back around to run the other half backwards.
2. Taylor is so determend to get bigger and deseves it since he helped twilight grow so much
3. taylor has such a great additude towards all his fans(dispite rob’s haughty remarks) and have helped a lot of fan warm up the jake

I think Jacob is the better choice. Even if he is young, it will take several years to shoot the movie and Michael is already like 26.

Okay, it’s really mess up how Micheal said ‘I have nothing against Taylor personally’ and then he goes on and on about how there’s more of Jacob that wasn’t brought to the screen, so basically he’s judging the way Taylor acts. What an asshole. Also he had said that he didn’t even read the books, so how would he know about Jacob’s character?! He ‘cliffs notes’ wtf?!
I know that we don’t really know Micheal well or Taylor.. but think it through people, it is a big risk to change Jacob. The company shouldn’t think about the heights and whatever. Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, and Peter Facinelli wasn’t tall like it’s describe in the book, did anyone care? NO! There’s another thing called ‘special effects.’ I’m really positive that if Taylor still plays Jacob, the height thing and stuff will work out.
There’s something about Taylor that made all of us Twilighters accept him as Jacob, no matter what. Also why did the company hired Taylor in the first place? Don’t even said that it’s about the baby face thing, cause, me, I wouldn’t buy that bullshit. At all.

HECK NO! NO NO NO NO NO! Okay, he’s hot and all, but I and maybe a couple of other girls have gotten the idea that Taylor IS Jacob. Like Hayley said, you can’t just go changing the characters like that in the middle of the saga. And Copon wouldn’t fit Jacob b/c he seems to girly (no offense!) and really needs to work out! Taylor has already put on 19 lbs. after working out and he’s already telling the director that he’s gonna put on 10 more. Copon wouldn’t be able to put on that much muscle by the time March comes around. And personally, I think he’s not that great of an actor. He doesn’t even get the character for that matter! Psh… Taylor actually takes his job seriously unlike Copon.
To sum it all up, I think Copon wouldn’t be able to bring out Jacob’s character in New Moon unlike Taylor, who could. Copon is sounding like, “Oh, this is just a dumb little teenage girl movie. No big deal if I screw it up, which I probably won’t b/c I think I’m the stuff and I can do anything!” NO! It’s not! It’s a HUGE DEAL to many people in the world. A lot of fans would be disappointed if they changed Taylor to Copon.

The character Jacob Black is so much more than just looking 25 and shooting up 8 inches. There’s a genuine kindness and tenderness to his (Jacob’s) discussions with Bella that would be impossible to portray through the arrogance of a cocky fool like Copon. It’s one thing to REALLY want a job. It’s another to aggressively pursue a character played by someone else who has obvious support of so many people. He’s screwing himself with his attitude.
I don’t want them to relplace Jacob. But summit will make the right decision.

Summit Entertainment should’ve put New Moon into consideration when casting Taylor as Jacob Black in Twilight. It was obvious they were going to film the sequel, so why didn’t they deal with the problem at hand? I have no idea.

J-14: How familiar are you with Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight books?
Michael: I’ve read the first one and I’ve dabbled through the Cliffs Notes of the second and third ones. I haven’t had time to actually sit down and read the whole book, but I kind of know what happens.
He’s only gone through the Cliff Notes and hasn’t even bothered to read the real story! It sounds like this guy just wants the fame and doesn’t even care about the movie. He’s a cocky douchebag who needs to get his head out of the clouds and realize that he is not as great as he thinks he is. If he doesn’t know the story that well, then how is he supposed portray Jacob? Jacob has such a crucial part in New Moon, and he can’t afford to mess it up. I think Taylor willl do an amazing job, not this stuck up jerk.
I think Taylor did a fantastic job portraying Jacob, and I think he will CONTINUE to do that. Asshole, er, i mean, Michael thinks that Jacob was too happy, but that’s because he was supposed to be! He wasn’t a werewolf yet, and he was described as being really nice and fun. It’s New Moon where he changes and stops being like that. If he actually read the story, maybe he’d know.
Taylor looks the part too; Michael looks too old anyways. Yeah, Jacob does grow in New Moon, but it’s not like he grows so much that he looks like he’s 30. He’s still 16.
