He tells Britain’s Ok! magazine, “Wearing coloured contact lenses… It was like I constantly had sand in my eyes. I was wearing them for three months constantly and my eyes never ever accepted them! It took me 20 minutes per eye every single day and I ended up having to literally fold it into my eyeball.”

I can sort of sympathize with him . I have a vision problem and have to wear glasses. At one point I did wear contacts, but it took so long for me to get them on and I always kept rubbing my eyes. So I stopped wearing them and went back to glasses.

I wear normal contacts and they don’t hurt at all, I don’t even feel them! But I guess it’s different with coloured ones, although people I know have coloured ones and they don’t find them irritating…

I’ve worn colored contacts before and it took me hours but i got used to them eventually…
they probably are annoying (don’t know for myself coz i’ve never had to wear contacts before)
but the gold eyes look super gorgeous on all of the cullen cast, and they are so important to the story that he’s probably just gonna have to endure it
I have contacts and i wear them all the time. They’re hard to get in but they feel fine, and i’ve only had mine for a month. O_O There are different kinds of contacts so he probably just needs soft ones, like dailies.
poor rob! i completely understand, cuz my parents wanted for me to get contacts, but i couldent get them in, and minuets before the office closed, i got them in, and they hurt so badly, and i couldn’t get them out…..

a friend of mine has a lot of trouble with her contacts.but they’re really cool. i hope rob will get used to them soon.he still has to film new moon and hopefully eclipse.

When I got contacts I tried the coloured ones and they do hurt a lot. They’re made of different material then the ones that you use for corrective lens. Plus the edges are so hard that everytime you blink they move around and they scratch. I feel bad that he went through that but what a trooper!! Just because he’s not looking forward to it doesnt mean he’s not going to still do the part!

some of you guys are saying that Rob is just overreacting or complainging because colored contacts don’t hurt YOUR eyes. Well each person have different eyes. So Rob’s eyes are most likely dry, or sensitive, therefore contacts don’t agree with him.

Yikes. I had that problem once with regular contact lenses. I had to get my eyes remeasured and switch brands. Maybe with the new budget they can get him something that doesn’t hurt!
Well being a contact wearer i understand some of the discomfort in putting them in and then one they are in they feel like they are going to pop out. Well with the crazy work schedule he has this year with twilight and his other projects i hope they can find him a remedy either like someone said above soft contacts. dailies. for me the soft breathable lense are what my eyes eventually got use to. Robert give at leaste a month if they dont get better. ask someone who weras them. Those of us that all have a trick to putting them in and keeping them in

i agree with Jaclyn! a lot of people keep bashing Kristen, saying she’s stuck up, boring, too serious or whatever…when those haters need to get a better attitude and realize that people have different personalities. Kristen is very talented, and yes she makes jokes, just in her own sense of humor and some people don’t understand because they aren’t mature. Ha. I know how he feels. It gets so irritating when your eyes don’t accept contacts. It took me about a month to get used to the contacts, and I was constantly with my fingers in my eyes, trying to get them set. -.- soo annoying.
