While I agree that neither of them should get the role I think that Vanessa is good enough and has the right background (Spanish, Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, Native American) to get the part. But no one seems to look that much further than Disney. And Vanessa is really a musical star. If she did a bad job of it all the younger kids that watched it would be so upset (I should know)
