EW has a new article on Taylor and New Moon movie
This week, Summit is expected to announce its decision for the next film based on Stephenie Meyer’s wildly successful series of vampire romance novels…. “…It’s really a question of whether or not the same actor can play the role.” Rosenberg is quick to add, however, that ”everyone would love to keep him. We all think he’s the loveliest person ever.”
Recently, there have been rumors that Michael Copon (The Scorpion King 2) and Steven Strait (10,000 BC) are jockeying for Lautner’s spot. But you can chalk that up to empty Web noise: Reps for both actors say neither has been approached for the role.

Like I’ve said before, they should replace him cause Jacob has a major growth spurt and looks a lot older. They can keep Taylor for the beginning of the movie, then get someone else to play Jacob(Werewolf) Steven Strait would be a nice selection. I really don’t like Jacob or Taylor, but if they put Steven I might not hate Jacob to much. Steven is easy on the eyes and has a charming smile.

Twilight has made so much money so the budget for New Moon should at least be enough to keep Taylor. If they can make Kristen Stewart look small and Nikki Reed look super tall and Kellan Lutz look huge than they should be able to make Taylor look older. They make people look older all the time. I think it is ridiculous to cast new people in sequels. People get attached in the first and the sequel will never be the same even if the new actor ends up being better. If they can make Brad Pitt look 80 in Benjamin Button then they can make Taylor look 25.
Keep Taylor. Have you seen his abs?? Don’t tell me he can’t appear manly! He has great potential to show Jacob’s transition from boy to young man. He was right-on in Twilight’s prom scene, looking fiercely at Edward as he walked away wi/Bella. I felt his angst. Edward felt the competitiveness…he looked back at Jacob and knew he was on notice. Study film, my young friends and you’ll find that those nuances make for great story building!

it looks like it might be a matter of like and death for some twilighters. I do hope the keep the young actor I very much see him as our beloved loveable jerky jake

Rob isn’t inhumanly gorgeous either but he still did good. Im totally with Kirsten on this one! Just make it happen! He’s perfect! The only reason I like Jacob at all is because of Taylor!
The NEED to keep Taylor! He is the absolute best! ROb isn’t absolutely perfect, he doesn’t have the best singing voice, but hes still hot! They keep him!

i hope that Taylor [sexxi] stays for new moon. he really is trying to bulk up for the role and he’s perfect! i hate it when movies put in new actors for continuing movies. its horrible.
I don’t care for Jacob or Taylor in the book/movie, but i don’t think that Taylor should be replaced. Too much change has already happened (new director) and everyone is already use to the actors/actress’ they have casted. It isn’t impossible to make Taylor look 25, they make people look older or younger in movies all the time.

i love Taylor, and when i heard that he might not be playing Jacob Black, i totally lost it…i mean what the crap people? Taylor is the ONLY Jacob for that movie…i mean don’t you think that it would be stupid for them to replace an actor after theres already been one Twilight movie with him in it? i mean come on people! think about it!! and so what? he’s not EXACTLY as tall as he should be, whatever!! he plays the roll awesomely, and if they replace him, you are gonna see some girls throw a hissy fit, i can tell ya that much…..TEAM TAYLOR FOREVER!

omg!!!!! this totally just made my day! i have been so worried about who is going to be playing jacob. i am overjoyed to here that Taylor may still be jacob. he is great for the role and i would be devistated if he wasnt. Taylor is my Jacob and always will be. I have always loved him as an actor. just a few days ago at my birthday party, we rented sharkboy and lavagirl just cuz of Taylor :] Team Taylor forever!!!!!!!

taylor doesn’t also lacks the height. age too. it wouldn’t seem nice if these 2 will fixed via effects. summit should be smart and look for actors that fit the older jacob. and more handsome that can stand up for rpattz charms!
