E!Online talks about the New Moon Soundtrack:
The new director, Chris Weitz, has been sending out signals that he may be open to a more experimental soundtrack than his predecessor. That could mean songs that sparkle even more than the movie’s vampires when they get caught in the sun.
“I think that might be the way it’s going,” says Marisa Baldi, West Coast partner for Zync, a music brokerage that funneled two songs onto the Twilight soundtrack. “I get the vibe that the guy is a little more into being surprised…everything is really open, and he wants to hear a lot of cool music.”

well, the soundtrack will have to change as the story progresses.. would dislike it if it stagnates the film.
Experimental???? Hahahaha. Who does he think he is kanye west???? This is a movie soundtrack lol. I mean chris seems to be cool and do a good job on new moon but that is funny. Pick the songs that go with certain parts of the movie. Plus i love the full moon song.

As we all know, the Twilight soundtrack has been a great success. I wouldn’tmess with that formula. CARTER BURWELL MUST BE IN NEW MOON AS WELL!!!!

Is anyone else worried that chris is going to make new moon into like what a girl wants or raise your voice. that type of film. not that there’s anything really wrong with that. but twilight was so awsome and different. i’d hate to see new moon ruined.
So he is going to go against an album that is currently breaking records. There was nothing wrong with the music thats on the first one, why change a good thing.

I do hope that Paromore is included again with the New Noon soundtrack the lead singer Hailey has read the books and is true twilighter! Twilighters have faith I think Chris is going to do a great job! He is passionate and talented and I knw he will do us proud with New Moon! Stay positive twi hards it will be awesome! I hope! Circles by Hollywood Undead totally reminds me of NEW MOON. Even mentions how Bella’s big brown eyes, leaving and regretting forever…Kinda Edward’s POV. *sigh I doubt they’ll add it, but i recommend the song! so passionate

The Twilight soundtrack was so freakin’ awesome. If Chris messes the New Moon soundtrack up, he’ll get lots of annoying fans wanting to kill him.
One song that is SOOO New Moon is Happy by Intwine. Really really really fits it. I always thought of New Moon when I heard it.
I think they should take Stephenie’s playlist into account, and look at what some of the fans think. Paramore should be on it & it would be awesome if Rob was too.

More god damned Muse. I have been a Muser before being a Twilighter so ofcourse I’ve listened to quite a few of their songs and some fit New Moon perfectly. Hyper Muse (as was on Stephanie’s playlist) not only captures the lyrics but the vibe is perfect for a sort of unleashed anger from Bella. And then there’s Unintended… “You could be my unintended, choice to live my life extended…” – as for Jacob’s role in Bella’s life.
I think the soundtrack will be great.
But ‘no air’ by jordin sparks and chris brown fits into new moon so perfectly that it scares me. like, every word in the lyrics is connected. listen to it!! jordin sings what bella would say, and chris has edward’s lines. cant wait til new moon!

I love the Twi soundtrack. Hopefully, Chris W. “experimenting” means looking outside the box for songs/lyics that fit no matter the era. Jacob’s theme should be “Hot Blooded” (by Foreigner?) I know, I KNOW…it is REALLY old-school. Just listen to the lyrics all the way through and you’ll see that it is PERFECT for Jacob! It would be really fun to have something older in the soundtract or score of the movie.

I think that perfect song is from Hana Pestle called “Need.” Once you listen to the song, you will understand what I mean when I say that this song is PERFECT for New Moon. The lyrics make the most sense for what happens in this movie. This song has been getting alot of recognition and I thought I would spread the word even further. I know what I don’t want: anyone affiliated with Disney–Jonas Bros, Miley Cyrus, any of the other horrible rumors, Madonna, and anything overly tackyily emo. Yes I’ve read the book, yes I know how Bella feels and yes I’ve myself felt like that before. I absolutely loved the Twilight soundtrack (didn’t care for the Paramore but w/e) because it was very not mainstream, not tacky (like emo can sometimes be). One of my faves of course was “Full Moon” by the Black Ghosts and although it was good for Twilight, kinda wondering if it should have been kept for one of Jacob’s bits in the later movies. But it’s done and over with. Moving on…I have no specific songs in mind for New Moon but I hope they keep it not so mainstream, give some unknowns that really fit the mood and message of the movie a chance.
