TWIST just got off the phone with Privileged star Lucy Hale (and David’s Henrie’s GF!). Only TWIST got the scoop straight from Lucy about her auditioning for New Moon.
“Well, I did read [for the role of Jane]. We had some talks about it. But I think they just offered it to Dakota Fanning, the role I was interested in. Which is great – I’m a huge fan of her! So, I think she’ll probably take that. And I mean, as of right now, I’m not sure if it’s going to work out. But I’m definitely still going to see it!”

This girl is so beautiful! The moment I saw her on her show Privledged I adored her. I think she would be more perfectly suited for Leah as well. I would be thrilled with that news. However, I still also hope they consider Q’orianka Kilcher.

I don’t know if she would make a good Jane. I think she should be Emily. But I also don’t like the idea of Dakota being Jane either. I thought Jane was supposed to be short and child like. Also I thought Jane had dark hair.
She is awesome. I’m sorry, I just can’t see Dakota as Jane. They should stick to not so name actors for these movies. Lucy was really good when she played that goth girl on Wizards of Waverly Place. And an amazing Rose on Privileged. She could pull of Jane with the right make up. I really hope they don’t chose Dakota.

BUT… I’ve been wondering…if they plan on making Breaking Dawn..I dk if they have decided yet…I hope so… have they mentioned this to the new additions. i’d hate for them to sign dakota for new moon and then have her decide not to want to be in BD. and then they change actors… that would suck.

dakota, i agree, is too well known really. there’s a possibility she might monopolise the film. (plus, i have a little suspicion that she’s publicising her AND SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT’S new film)

I still don’t lyk Dakota Fanning, but Lucy doesn’t really look lyk a Jane to me. I could see her as one of Tanya’s clan, or one of the nomads, in Breaking Dawn, or as Leah, sure. but not Jane – soz man :S

Everyone should give Miss Dakota a break. She wont take over New Moon. Shes not sucking uo to SUMMIT because she is in their new movie Push. Shes an AMAZING actress and everybody knows it. Shes fits the part of Jane. And even Peter Facinelli wants her for Jane! I AGREE WITH PETER!

Yeah I definitely think Dakota should be Jane..she totally fits the character! I would love to see Lucy as Leah or Emily or later on, one of the Denali sisters maybe; she totally looks like she belongs in the movie somewhere!
