My Name is Candace Charee’ and I am a singer/songwriter. I have written 3 songs for the Twilight saga so far. Only two of the songs have been released to the public
“Never Erase” was written for New Moon and it depicts the scene when Edward tells Bella he has to leave her
It is a duet with an amazing male vocalist Josh Leon from the band London Airspace. We are going to be in contact with Summit soon to discuss this song being in NEW MOON! I hope you all like it

and not to mention the lyrics sound are too similar to the book. the song just doesnt fit the scene the tempo and rhythm is all wrong.
Hi Candace, “Never Erase” is a great song and has everything to do with New Moon.

“Here With Me” by Michelle Branch is a way better song than this.
This song is too much yelling. Sounds like “Decode” by Paramore which wouldn’t fit the movie atmosphere but would be OK as a music video.
Yeh i agree, AnnoyingComo…(luv the name btw) but yeh the lyrics are a little cheasy though. like, the very 1st few words and stuff r really lame. but the melody is great. its a good song, it just wouldnt be good in the movie

This is…not good at all. I’m a snob when it comes to music, but honestly? This song doesn’t even fit the feel of that part of the book. It’s too..bubblegum-pop-happy. Ick. If anything, the music for that scene should be purely instrumental. It would take away any chance of it being too cheesy.
I absolutely love Candace’s song! It’s perfect for New Moon. She has such a beautiful voice and if they decide it’s not good enough, then they are missing out on a great opportunity to work with such a talented song writer and singer!

This song is NOT fit for the scene where Edward leaves Bella!
I just listened to your song Candace, and it is far from what is needed for such a deep and emotional scene, as of Edward destroying Bella by leaving her. I believe this scene should make you cry!! or at least fell like the world was ending, for Bella! because that is what happens!!
Don’t get me wrong, its an alright song, but when Edward leaves Bella it is meant to be heart-wrenching! Painful! Like a invisible vice tightening around your heart threating to rip it out and your song wasn’t in that deep/dark emotion at all! Your song kinda made me smile to be honest!

I’ve said my peace already but I just feel this song is way too upbeat for this particular scene. The conversation between Bella & Edward should have an instrumental in the background..a low playing piano which will get louder at the climax of their conversation…and when he turns to leave..the words begin..the song that illustrates what I just described is Need by Hana Pestle..when he leaves and Bella follows him..and trips in the woods and justs lays there not wanting to get up, in shock and confused with what just took place..
The song is perfect for that.

My Immortal by evanescence would be perfect for new moon!!! Especially when she is clutching her stomach or in her zombie state!
good song, but i dont think it fits to the scene at all its not sad enough. it should be in the movie though, cause the lyrics is right for new moon (in my opinion anyway). good luck!
They shouldn’t play such an “up-beat” song when he leaves her, more of a calm song that really fits ‘The End’. Her voice is not really great either.

its way too obvious and theres no real symbolism i heard a few seconds and stopped it..this would be horrible, i dont even think they should have someone singing when he leaves bella, classical music wuold do it. Horrible!

I think it should be on the soundtrack maybe, it’d probably be fitting for the trailer, but I do not like it for any of the parts.
I also don’t think that you should write a song SPECIFICALLY for something, just let it inspire you, and you’ll probably find that if you use different themes for it, it’d suit Twilight better.
Too upbeat, in my opinion, because most of New Moon is meant to be sad. Your music would do better for an action scene, but I think neither of your two songs would do well for any of the films so far.
I don’t think this song is right for when he leaves her. The lyrics are good but it is too pop and upbeat. A song for that scene needs to be full of sadness and love and tension. It can’t be a duet, it just needs Bella’s voice, she doesn’t know how Edward is feeling, she is thinking that he will move on to someone else! I know that when we see the movie that we will see more Edward and we will know whats going on but still. In that scene Edward needs to seem cold and unattached. We can have his side of it later.
It’s not a bad song, I like it… But It’s the kind of song that would be better off just staying on the soundtrack or something. I can’t imagine them going throught such an important conversation with all that going on in the backround. Sorry.

and we’re all entitled to our own opinions that doesn’t make us lazy idiots who are jealous of what others are doing. that proves that we’re passionate about the twilight books/films and want to have a say in how they turn out. after all everyone has their own interpretation of the books – remember how most people hated the idea of rob being in the film (whereas him being in the film convinced me to go and see it as i love him lol)
so don’t go mouthing off on everyone because they think the song is all wrong for the scene – which it is…like i said before the lyrics are way too obvious its like having a narrator during the scene which i think we’ll all agree we do not need-we’re not that slow!
and just to ass my 2 cents – that genre of music is so NOT me. Maybe its more of an American style, and I would much rather hear something a little more subtle and heartwrenching.

also i think paramore were amazing in twilight and would love some more. ive loved paramore since seeing them live at GIAN, so I was more than happy to see them on the soundtrack – despite what Candance thinks we thought about them and muse. OMG muse was amazing in twilight in the baseball scene!!
- ok i’ll shut up now – sorry – i just the soundtrack was one of the best parts of twilight so new moon can’t let the saga down!
Candace, why are you so full of yourself? Why are you convinced that we will LOOOOOOOOVE your 3rd song? And, I think a lot more people like Muse and Paramore than whatever it is you’re singing.

Definately not good! how about coldplay or something thats doesnt say everything thats happening in the scene in the song. its way to obvious. and i think it should be a guy voice when that edward leaves her. besides most of the music in twilight wasnt that good.

With all do respect to the artist this song totally misses. Bella is devestated in this scene. The song is not nearly haunting enough and way too obvious in its lyrics

I heard this song on youtube. Its a wonderful song, sung really good and has a great meaning. I also love the fact that I can relate to the song. I have seen new moon 3 times in the theater and I dont think their soundtrack was that good. I think this song along with what hurts the most by rascall flatts should have been played during the movie.
