MTV has officially revealed the New Moon title and logo!
UPDATE: Discuss the new logo with other Twilighters in our message boards here!
Although the look of the new logo will undoubtedly get Twilighter tongues wagging, it’s the five-word official title that is the most prominent variation from Stephenie Meyer’s simple “New Moon.”
As for the logo itself, Weitz has chosen to stay with the lowercase lettering, personable font and light-streaks-poking-through look of last year’s hit film. In switching from blue to orange, the movie’s upcoming posters will be instantly distinguishable from those of the original “Twilight” – which should make them look a whole lot cooler when teenage girls all over the world add them to their walls. The presence of orange also begs a new question: Now that blue and orange are taken, which colors should be used for “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn”?

Well guys it is the “twilight saga” I mean that is what the series is known as so it makes since they would put it on the logo but I like the look! =D
“meh”, by my understanding, is just an expression. i like the new logo and all but i expected MORE with all the hype behind what i thought was a BIG REVEAL.
i like it.

and i don’t like “the twilight saga” part.
i wanted it to be just “New Moon”

its an awesome cover and all but didnt we just see this like a couple hours ago on ET i thought they would reveal like if dakota fanning would be jane something crucial to us twilighters but noo they show us just the logo and talk about chris weitz the new director. well im still exited for new moon the movie hey maybe there will be new moon mondays now on mtv

Eclipse should be white lettering with black backround. Breaking Dawn should be red
the LOGO IS GREAT..Of course they put Twilight Saga in there because it’s part of the book, and also I think they put it there for people who didn’t actually read the books but loves the film or people who are just clueless about it.

I like it, but I kinda don’t like that they added “Twilight saga” to the title. I mean, true fans will undoubtedly know that New Moon is the sequel with having it pointed out in the title. But other than that qualm, I really do like it.

and BD will probably be white
i think a very deep purple would look cool for eclipse.

I think it is genious to stick with the old cover. You know how Twilight said “When you can live forever what do you live for” what do you think they will use? I am soooooooooooooooo exited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
hmm… i get the orange look of it. twilight was blue because the vampires are the “dark” creatures, i.e. no sunlight. and the wolves are sunlight and nature creatures, so the orange is fitting for new moon seeing as it’s about bella’s realtionship with jacob relationship growing.
k sooo maybe that’s a REALLY wild guess lol, but i’m trying to reason as to why orange was chosen… looks good though, it has to grow on me, i’m just so used to seeing twilight and only twilight =]

1) I love the color; reminds me of edwards eyes.
2) I really think that if they headed the movie “the Twilight Saga” doesn’t that mean that they are going to make Breaking Dawn???!!
(cuz, all the actors signed on a TRILOGY not a SAGA. And i really doubt Chris Weitz would really forget that. But i will totally and i mean TOTALLY will die if they make Breaking Dawn. they cant just leaving us hanging in Eclipse right?!)
3) After going through all all of the colors of the rainbow i hav decided that the only good colors left are red, dark dark dark purple, black, and black.

Ok, I was about to ask why they use orange, then I saw a comment on here! I guess it kind of makes sense:
Twilight – Edward (cold=blue)
New Moon – Jacob (hot=orange)
Eclipse – Ummm??

Is “The Twilight Saga” really nessecary? It would sound waay cooler if it was just New Moon. Its not like everybody doesn’t know its the sequel to Twilight.

i understand the idea of the orange. twilight was blue for edward, because he's a vampire, no sunlight; it's a dark color. the orange is a good representation of jacob and the wolves because they're the "sunlight" creatures and very outdoors and woods oriented. twilight was all about edward and bella's relationship being established and growing whereas new moon is about bella and jacob's relationship growing. i like it, though. it has to grow on me a little more i guess.
and now to add more lol..
hmmm.. for eclipse i think red because it's a color for anger as well as love; both of which emotions are strong in the third film. or maybe black/silver as someone said, closest thing to an eclipse and darkness. and for breaking dawn, if they do it, i think it should be an "8th color," or like a sparkling white seeing as that's what the vampires' skin is, it would be fitting.

Hmm, that “The Twilight Saga” part is kind of tacky I think but I think the color choice fits. I’m guessing the gold and orange is suppose to represent heat/fire since Jacob and the other shapeshifters are an important part of the movie.
As for the colors I would like to be seen used for Eclipse, I totally love TWILIGHTKID12′s idea about the three blended together (representing Edward, Jacob and Bella’s choice between them). Although I’m not quite sure about the green–it kind of clashes with orange depending on the shade. For Breaking Dawn I think it would be neat to use the 8th color Bella talks about… too bad it’s not visible to the human eye. Maybe a bright blood red like newborn eye’s are described.

I actually like it!!! I mean at first I thought they were taking out the New Moon part and just calling it “The Twilight Saga” But at least it does still have “New Moon” and it’s bold!!! After all don’t alot of us refer to it as the Twilight saga when talking about it? And I love this color! It igoes with the color of the Cullen’s eyes!
i like the color and how they stuck to the same font. and the mini crescent moon.
