EW.com just has some exclusive info on why New Moon movie director, Chris Weitz, won’t be directing Eclipse movie:
Chris Weitz will not direct the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse, a source close to the production tells EW.com exclusively. Because New Moon, which Weitz is helming, and Eclipse are due to be released so close together, Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will be shooting. That said, the source confirms a report that the movies will not be shot simultaneously or back-to-back; there will be a brief gap between the production of both films.

Wow. So basically were going to have different directors for each movie. Interesting, we can compare and see who did better.
they might as well hire a circus of directors since not one official director can well direct all four movies if there will be 4

It really isn’t that big of a deal (as some of you are making it to be). Almost every Harry Potter film has had different directors and so far they’ve all turned out good(imo)

Okay I’m definately for the back-to-back thing. I cannot wait another full year for eclipse too. Separate directors is weird, but maybe it’ll be good.
And for the Breaking Dawn subject many people believe Breaking Dawn may be impossible to film because of Renesmee. They don’t have CGI for humans thats looks real, and the fact that she’s a newborn who can control her expressions perfectly is an obstacle. I think they’d be able to pull it off, though.

The HP movies have successfully set a precedence with changing directors. They’ve had Chris Columbus for the first 2, then Alofonso Cuaron on #3, Mike Newell for #4 and now David Yates for 5, 6, and the first part of #7. Considering there are only 4 books and nothing official has been announced by Summit (remember this junk we’re reading appears to be RUMORS), let’s not get to wild before they really decide. Maybe they will change, maybe they won’t. Whatever they choose, let’s hope it is in the best interest of the actors and of course, the stories.
