Drew Berrymore, A Possible Canadiate For Eclipse Director

Entertainment Weekly has a short article about how Summit Entertainment is talking about a select group of people to direct Eclipse, one of which is Drew Berrymore.

As Summit Entertainment looks to lock in a director for the third installment of the Twilight series, Eclipse, the company is talking to a select group of directors — including actress-turned-helmer Drew Barrymore, EW has learned. While this news may come as a surprise to some, Barrymore did just finish work on her directorial debut, Whip It! starring Ellen Page. Neither Summit nor Barrymore’s reps would comment for this story

that would be interesting, but i have no idea how it would turn out. if she was the director, i would be anxious and somewhat excited to see how drew berrymore would pull it off.bu thte idea of having someone whose still new to the directing business is somewhat worrisome. I think she’s a great actress but directing??? we shall see…

I think that Eclipse needs someone who has a little bit more experience. I have not seen Barrymore’s directorial work but Eclipse will be a huge artistic opportunity that I’m not sure someone new to directing is ready for.

if she does direct it, i bet she would make very entertaining and funny. if anyone has a sense of humor, it drew. then again, do the fans want eclipse to be funny. i know i want it to be entertaining, but i dun want to laugh when bella’s crying in the tent or when she “breaks up” with jacob

LMAO! Well that was certainly unexpected.lol.*chuckle*. On a serious note, i am a lil nervous that she might not have enough directing experience 4 Eclipse, but it still isn’t confirmed yet so, we’ll just have 2 b patient.=]

I haven’t seen any of her work as a director (not sure is she even has any) but she’s a good actress, maybe she could be in it instead of directing

hmm…that would be interesting! I did forget she’s a director, and I never seen any of her directed movies. I hope she’s good! But she’s really great from what I hear, and again I hope that if she does direct Eclipse, she does a great job :D

FOR ALL, HERE ARE SOME MAJOR INFORMATION; DREW BARRYMORE EXECUTIVE PRODUCED DONNIE DARKO AND SHE ALSO HAS A PRODUCTION COMPANY CALLED “FLOWER FILMS” PRODUCING SINCE 1999.

So I think she knows how to work behind the cam and I would love to see her as an director.

The news is so bla wrong about the first directing or producing.

That is SUPER random I like Drew a lot but I don’t think she would be the best to direct Eclipse.
She’s way more of a chick flick actress and that’s her style with everything so please summit NO!

At first I was with the majority thinking “where the heck did THAT come from?”

Then I started thinking about how she has grown up in front of the screen. IF she’s a promising director,(I’ve NEVER seen any of her work), she’s might be a great choice to present this story to the audience and work with the cast. Yes, Drew Barrymore can be funny, but also very serious.

Err.. I dunno about her.. She’s more the “Romantic Comedy”… not the “heartbroken, dark, depressed” kind of thing, in my mind,
