In an interview MTV did with Nikki Reed, she talks about the problems they had with make up and hair while shooting Twilight and what they’re doing differently for New Moon.
“I think we are just perfecting it,” Nikki Reed explained when she stopped by the MTV studio recently, revealing the conversations she’s had with new franchise director Chris Weitz. “I think it will be a little bit different, and we’ll perfect it for the best.”
It’s no secret that the team on the original “Twilight” struggled mightily — and occasionally found their efforts enraging fans — as they attempted to perfect the hairstyles of the Cullen clan. Now, with a new director and bigger budget, Reed revealed that Weitz is determined to get things right.
“[My conversation with him] was revolving around the look of the Cullens; I don’t know if we necessarily got it right the first time around,” Reed explained. “We weren’t expecting all the weather issues and all the makeup we had to put on. Every single character [had a hard time]. I know a lot of people think it was just me that changed how I looked physically, but Peter Facinelli has black hair, and he has to go back blond [for 'New Moon']. And Kellan Lutz, who is a natural blond, has to go back to dark hair.”

rosalie is such a bitch, but u gotta kinda have to like her.. lol.. i know how it is bleaching ur hair, frankly im quite surprised she actually bleached it for the first one… good for her wearing a wig, and for anyone to be mad at her cause of that is stupid…
I feel bad for Nikki. The interviewer kinda made it seem like the blonde looked bad on her; towards the end of the interview Nikkie seemed very hurt that he said she looked “unnatural” She seemed to dwell on the word “unnatural” after that part. I don’t think it looked bad at all. I think Nikki looked beautiful as a blonde. But i can understand the bleaching, it’s extremely harsh on you hair and scalp. Hope they find a beautiful wig that matched Twilight.

I think Nikki is awesome and “real”. I love her as Rosalie and I’m sure she will continue to make us happy with or without a wig. Ashlee wore a wig and it looked pretty real to me.

wow..I’m really happy that the cast are really that devoted. and I’m really happy that they’re improving the LOOKS of the vampires, because I really really hate to say this BUT THE MAKE-UP WASN’T THAT GOOD in Twilight=)
I’m happy that Chris is that devoted to making this film BETTER. He’s really looking at the small details and trying to make it good.

Great plan. They needed to improve a lot and I’m glad it was recognized that make-up and general appearance are a part of that package.

I hope they get rid of those stupid brown contacts that Kristen had to wear too…her natural green eyes are just too beautiful to hide…don’t care if Bella has brown eyes…not so much into following the book to exact T’s…gotta have some breathing room for the actors. Hope they can special effect the contacts for the other characters so we don’t see the rim of the contacts again in closeups…that was so obviously annoying in Twilight.
Nikki is not a good Rosalie, she couldn’t land an acting gig if it landed on her, so her buddy director forced hand and got her this job-freaken half Jew-Dago playing Rosalie WTF!
