Kristen Talks About The Cliff-Diving Scene

“I had to go in and do a head-scan the other day,” Kristen Stewart revealed to MTV News over the weekend, discussing a recent Vancouver appointment to create a computer-generated doppelgänger for a key “New Moon” scene.

what the hell is a computer generated doppleganger head scan? lmao! sounds interesting, though.
oh and if it was explained in the vid, sorry…I HATE when MTV always says their vids can’t be viewed if they’re located outside the USA…uch…so depressing. So like I can’t watch Twilight Tuesdays, I have to find em on YouTube.

that sucks, but then again, kristen looks like she wanted to cliff dive herself. it was chis weitx idea. anyways, even they did have a real person jump, she would have a stunt double b/cus its hella dangerous. i would jump though. daredevil. haha. for thos confused, think of gillum from lord of the rings. their gna generate a fake bella from the scana n models they got from kristen. so it would look exactly like her. we couldnt even tell that it was computer generated.
i laughed when she did her serious face. imagine tryiing to hold still like that when their scanning your face.

I’m kinda now annoyed with the director for not letting kristen do the actual cliff diving I mean they could of gotten a stunt double they don’t have to make it computerized! UGH!
Well, I agree with you, Jaclyn, but if it’s gonna look exactly like her, who cares? We won’t be able to tell the dif! It’s probably gonna be a great (or bad) movie, depending on opinion. If we didn’t see this vid, we wouldn’t have known she was computer generated! Am I right?
Computerized Bella????? I laughed when Kristen Stewart said that. It’s weird. Why are they making the cliff diving computer-generated? I hope Chris Weitz doesn’t get TOO carried away with the CGI stuff. =/
I also got super excited when I saw the Adventureland promotional poster in the background. I literally live 5-10 minutes away from the real Adventureland that the movie is based on. Too bad they didn’t film in the actual park. =[
haha ok just so u pple know isabella is my REAL name so im not trying to be too much of a fan here, ok? and i think its pretty cool that you can do stuff like that but it is kinda weird and i agree with AliceRosalieBellaEsmeCullen, if its going to look just like her, who cares??
As long as her computer generated self looks realistic…like Alicerosaliebellaesmecullen said, who cares?! I think it’s more a matter of keeping her safe and avoiding any liability than Chris getting too carried away. That and it’ll probably look way more cooler than just Kris jumping for it
i’m glad she’s not doing the cliff diving stunt. it’s really dangerous!!! people die doing this. bungie jumping has ropes, this doesn’t.
I was wondering how they were going to do this scene. She should totally get to bungie jump though!!
yeah i was too nolechick6=rosalie. i was trying to figure out what they were gonna do but i know now. lol thats cool that she actually wanted to do the real deal. it shows that she totally brave. keep rocking kristen!!!

its SUPER dangerous guys, jumping off a cliff. Im not kidding. I’ve done plane jumping and bunggie and its really dangerous but extremely fun. They cant let their main actress go get a run and jump off a cliff on a line. But I do think a stunt double should have taken this…. it would have made it tons better but if it looks actually real, I dont mind. SO EXCITED!

i couldnt see the video but i read all the comments. i really wondered how they were going to do this scene. i didnt think she wouldve jumped herself (not saying she would be scared or anything) but the directors wouldnt let their main actress take that risk. the computer generation might not be that bad. like look at the Benjamin Button animations, that was fantastic. they really couldve had bungee cords attached to Kristen though, then just erase it in the final copie. or really they couldve just bluescreened it. that wouldve been better than animatifying Bella. i cant wait till New Moon though

Australia, u went plane jumping AND bungie jumping! that is wickedly awesome! i soooo want 2 try that, looks like a lot of fun. luv the adrenaline.haha

I agree with ^ Emily! she IS getting in the character much seemingly more this time! Its makes me trust her more… I like this interview with her, she seems very caring about it now. I have hopes New Moon will be better then Twilight!
@ Leah: ya i love adrenaline too! it was fun, pretty rad! i pick plane jumping over bunggie, cuz I have a motion problem sometimes… so the bunggie felt like my stomach didnt follow…. LOL!
When Bella jumps off the cliff I think this really makes this part of the story come alive. Be so happy to get the chance this november to see New Moon.
