Summit Entertainment announced today that Twilight sold over 3 million DVD units in its first day of release.
Summit Entertainment announced today that the home entertainment release of the studio’s action-packed, modern day vampire love story TWILIGHT sold over 3 million DVD units in its first day of release. The DVD launch commenced this past Saturday morning at midnight with nationwide events during which time Summit and its retail partners provided TWILIGHT fans with the chance to celebrate the DVD release of the film. “TWILIGHT at Midnight” allowed participating retailers the opportunity to stay open late as fans lined up in impressive numbers to purchase the DVD of the epic romance at midnight parties.

Yeah, kinda figured they would have sold a bunch, considering all the midnight parties…but I was acutally thinking it would have been around 5 million….but 3 million is impressive.

i expected target to be all sold out, so i went in like 5 min before they closed… they had a whole rack of them like untouched lol. lucky i suppose
OMG! NO SURPRISE!!!! i was one of those 3 MILLION!!!! (my friend Kelsey was one too!) it was awesome! i watched it 7 times, at midnight! it was awesome! TEAM EDWARD!

I haven’t read all of the comments, but if you haven’t watched the movie with the commentary on, you need to. Rob was hillarious, the very last scene was my favorite. Kristen and Rob are making fun of Bella saying “I know what I want”, Kristen says it in kind of a seductive voice, and then Rob says “and I want it now”, in a very funny voice, kind of like he was trying to say it as a girl. It was just hillarious. He was so funny through out the whole thing, a typical guy. He was asking questions to Katherine and Kristen about some why Bella did some things in the movie and the book, like he truly didn’t understand why girls act the way they do, typical guy =) He was sooooooooo cute.
That’s an amazing amount for a day. I’m very proud to say that I was one of those 3 million!!! I had to get up madd early and target opened at 8 I got there at 8:01 and there were ppl of all ages rushing those doors. I wasn’t surprised I knew it was gonna be crazy. I had to run!!! I was afraid I was gonna have to like push some ppl or suntin. My aunt was with meh cuz she promised shewould buy it for me for my bday and she was soo amazed at how crazy it was that she screamed for meh to get her one too!!! She loves it now but I made her read the book before she could watch it! The book is better* lol. I LOVE YUH ROBERT PATINSON FOREVER BABY!!
