I loved Twilight from the very beginning. Before it was a huge deal. I really am obsessed. Before Twilight I hated reading. I got it for my birthday and when I read the blurb I didn’t think it was for me. Plus, it looked huge—for me anyway. I put it on my shelf and let it rest for a bit. I was bored one night so I thought I would give it a try. I was hooked straight away. I am a very slow reader but I found myself reading 100’s of pages a day. I introduced the book to my class. Not many people were interested—only three people. Bec, one of my classmates read it and we talked about it non-stop. We are now besties. Now, my whole class has either read the book or they hate the book—all because of how much I talk about it. Well, you know how I said I was obsessed. I thought I should give you a few examples of just how obsessed I am.

And this is how much:

✩ I paid AU$35 for a bag because they don’t have much merchandise here. $35 is a lot.
★ I went to 2 pre-screenings of Twilight and I would have gone to more but I was broke.
✩ I cried because I was in the same building as Nikki Reed and Edi Gathegi.
★ I have 157 Twilight pictures on my walls and the number is growing.
✩ I have 2 copies of Twilight and I’m hoping to get more.
★ I have a homemade Edward doll.
✩ I have been on the radio three times because of how obsessed I am. One time, they called me.
★ I sometimes open my window and wait for Edward. I know he’s not going to come but I always hope.
✩ I had something to do with at least 26 people reading the book. I got 4 people to really, REALLY hate the books just because I talk about it so much. One of those girls even made a t-shirt saying “I hate Twilight.”
★ I put sparkles on myself to sparkle in the sun like a vampire
✩ I LOVE it when people call me sad or pathetic or a freak etc. because of Twilight. My response is thank you.
