With New Moon coming up, E! is getting ready for some romance rumors between Kristen and Rob. They talked with Edi Gathegi and Ashley Greene about the rumors.
With the filming of New Moon under way in Vancouver, the newest batch of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart romance rumors should start rolling out any day now.
Even though the two laugh off the persistent claims of a real-life love affair, that hasn’t stopped many from thinking otherwise.
So what’s really going on? Their costars have some ideas…
Edi Gathegi, who plays Laurent, tells me the cast and crew have pretty much ignored the gossip.
“I can’t even think of those two together at all,” he told me during his recent stop in Los Angeles for the launch of Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight: Director’s Notebook. “Kristen has a boyfriend! It’s onscreen and that’s it.”

They should date, I mean they ARE Edward and Bella
(at least they’re actors portraying them), the most perfect couple in young adult literature history, and the already have “great chemistry”. So in my opinion, they should just go out for dinner maybe and see where it leads!

This is getting so stupid. Anybody who is half way observant can watch their interactions on interviews and tours and tell that they barely even like each other. They spent so much time together that, like anybody would, they probably got very tired of each other and even annoyed with each other. Listen carefully to the DVD commentary. No sexual tension, only a brother/sisterly kind of annoyance mixed with an appreciation for each other and their shared experience.
thats not true, they love eachother trust me. i can see they do , theres an article when kris ssays that they lean on eachother and theyre best friends and they see into eachothers ♥’s… it could happen in real life, they definetly created it on screen to the max… your obviously team jacob, ASH. dont get too bugged i understand cause i get bugged about jacob stuff too sometimes

If Kristen had met Rob on the streets before Twilight, she might have thought he’s handsome, but weird and goofy.
People should watch at least five interviews of her on youtube and read the whole nylon article. you’ll see she really fits to michael, he’s been there for years.
This whole off screen thing will fade away, Kristen knows it, Michael is her man.
And Kathleen: I’m team Edward and I still think they won’t make a good couple.

Well! It’s nice to see that there is still some people grounded in reality in this world. Seriously, I agree with Ashley and company, this is lame. Fantasy versus reality. Real versus imaginary. It’s fine to want Edward and Bella together, but leave their portrayers out of it. This sick obsession some people have over it very creepy. These are the people that I think Kristen rails against.
I am sure the people who work with Rob and Kristen and know the “real” people would know more about their “romantic” attachments then a bunch of fans in a theater, who spent two hours with the characters of Edward and Bella and not the real people behind those characters.
I don’t think Rob and Kristen are together. They probably flirt at work but who doesn’t flirt if you have a hot co-worker but I think it is all in good fun. I don’t think they can’t stand each other though, I think they get along pretty good from what I see and hear. I think they may purposely keep their distance from each other in the public eye just for this reason but I think they are really good friends. But on the other hand all this talk could create tension between them and on the other had you never know what could happen in the future but as for now I think she is pretty happy with her b/f. I think we will see her hanging out with Taylor more building that relationship and ppl haven’t started all the love rumors with them yet.
i have a theory. dont kill u guys. its just a theory. i think they did hook up while on set. like there really is sexual tension between them. but kristen still likes her bf. during the making of the movie n the promotions, they probably got “really really close” n now they’re trying to keep their distance from each other, cause they want to keep it professional. thats why u dont see them hang out a lot. they might not be together, but there is a special something there. look at the facts, during the making of the movie, they had such a great connection and chemistry. when travelling around the world to promote the movie, i heard they spent most of their times together. even in japan, when taylor was there, she chose to spend loads of time with rob. the only reason she’s keeping her distance from rob is cause, i think, she wants him., she wants him bad but she still wants to be with her bf. thats why she’s keeping her distance, always hanging out with nikki. im a huge kristen fan, dont get me wrong. i just really think she n rob belong. haha. u guys totally set loose the lil teenage girl in me. haha
i think everyone needs to leave them alone. Just because they have chemistry on camara doesnt mean they have it in real life. its called acting and anyone who doesnt realiz that needs to get thier head out of the clouds.

It’s their job. Even Rob said that in a written interview that it is their job to have “chemistry”. It was Summit’s job to find actors who had chemistry. Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks have great romantic chemistry also, however, that doesn’t mean they’re going to marry and live happily ever after. Kristen has had glowing reviews over Taylor, how she rooted for him to keep his job, how excited she was to star with him…why doesn’t that mean she wants him? When she compliments Rob, it’s supposedly a hidden signal that she’s in love.
I seriously don’t get it. Will the series be awful if Rob and Kristen don’t hook up? Will the world end if they don’t love each other? I think people are seriously confusing Edward and Bella with two actors doing a job.
I kind of agree with Jacqueline but not quite so sure on the actual hook up. I think they got really close when making the movie. They have singing and playing guitar in common. It was reported that Rob actually bought her a guitar for her bday. You can tell the connection from the early videos and the comments about watching videos together in her trailer. Also, they did spend a lot of time together- on a personal basis – when promoting the movie. I think they have a very special connection. However, Kristen seems very logical and probably realizes they should be be professional for the movie. Can you imagine if they did date and it ended badly? She is also aware of what would happen if they were ever out in public together – even out for a coffee as friends. People would go crazy. She even mentions that in the Nylon interview. Personally I think they would be great together but I think Rob may have some growing up to do. I mean if he actually did propose to her on the set…that’s pretty immature. I can see where that would bother Kristen. It would seem as if he does that all the time. And Kristen has mentioned that Rob does tend to do that because he thinks its cute. Anyway, she has a bf. I hope he treats her good. They must have a strong, trusting relationship to withstand this.

They would be so wrong for each other in real life. Kristen is no Bella and Rob is no Edward. This is just like when the media wanted Dan and Emma to be messing around. It is just such an easy go-to story. It’s cliche.

These rumors about them needs to stop. It seems to me that Kristen is very happy with her current relationship. Yea they would make a cute couple but come on…just stop the rumors. It can all end badly for Kristen cuz her current boyfriend will get tired of all this and break up with her and cause her to be depressed and probably affect her work on New Moon and maybe stop being Bella altoghether(which I DONT want to happen) Kristen and Rob just look like best friends and nothing more.

Ok lol i know this is kind of late but i agree and disagree with Kathleen ♥, because yes, of course they are best friends, Catherine Hardwick herself said they had chemistry while doing the scene on her bed, but not THAT kind of chemistry. The chemistry a BFF has for another is different than the really deep, sexual one a real relationship holds. Their relationship is nothing more than the funny, joking, carefree happiness they have when they’re together, much like you and your best friend might feel. Just leave them alone! Let them be happy at the status they are already at. It makes the paparazzi happy and it makes the fans happy. And Kristen has a boyfriend! Do you really think she’d leave him for her costar? No. She’s better than that. And Rob should find love on his own terms, not the paparazzi’s.

I also remember Catherine saying that she told Rob to stay away from Kristen b/c Michael is one of her good friends (She directed Michael in Lords of Dogtown). She didn’t want Rob making moves on Kristen & stealing her away from Michael (she was just joking). Honestly, I think they are just really good friends. I worry about Rob, he doesn’t seem to be into the girls, that’s just my observation. Personally, I hope he likes the older ladies

I think they have good onscreen chemistry,but I know its just a movie and their entitled to their own lives.
I love the books and I think fans might want them together as a way to make the edward and bella of the twilight series come to life.
I def see your point, Crystal AKA Leah, and I completely agree with you. What chemistry would there be? It probably wouldn’t be any different, anyway. They’d just tell the press they’re dating, and they’d hang out together and joke like they already do. Again, nothing much would change. And Meme, fans def DO want them together, but that doesn’t mean its right. They already make us believe that Edward and Bella are alive, and I think taking it any farther would just mess things up. Especially when New Moon comes — everyone will be saying, “They broke up! They broke up!” if they start dating now. If they ever do, and I’m not saying they should or shouldn’t, they should wait until at least Eclipse, where its more romantic and things wouldn’t be as confusing.
