In this BBC article, British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower said that he would be playing as the Volturi leader Caius in New Moon. This has not been confirmed by Summit Entertainment.
British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower has revealed he will play Volturi leader Caius in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
The 20-year-old, who has appeared in RockNRolla and Sweeney Todd, told the BBC news website that taking part in the vampire series was “very exciting”.

Isn’t Caius Italian?? And he does look too young….The Volturi are really the only Vamps in the book that are actually “old” looking. That guy who played “V” from V for Vendetta would be cool…also has an awesome voice.
HAYNSOLJAH if Hugo Weaving would be in The Twilight series…I think I’d crap my pants! He’s amazing!! Not gonna happen though.
Anyway…I’m kind of dissapointed in a way. I think the Volturi should atleast be actors in their late 20’s or 30’s. They need to look older than the Cullens. But whatever…I guess I’ll hold my judgement till I see it in theaters.
idk in my mind the volturi looked exactly the opposite of what he looks like! but i guess i’ll have to wait and see how he does before i judge him…..

No offense but I hope Summit DOESNT confirm this rumor, because firstly, he’s WAAAY too young to be Caius…he’s supposed to have white hair! He’s that old! And second, that’s not how I pictured Caius at all. I was disappointed when they chose Dakota Fanning as Jane, and I hope this is not Caius. Not the right guy. Sorry, just my personal opinion. Not trying to bum anyone out or anything.

DISSAPOINTMENT!! i am in complete agreement that he is way to young looking. I pictured Caius as older. Even though vampires dont age, I imagined him in his 40s when he changed. Kind of like the vampires from the ‘Queen of the Damned’. I hate hate HATE when movies don’t match the book for such a simple fact as how old a character should look! Hmph!

I think he does look a little younng, but, and im not sure why, but i see potential in him as Caius, and as long as they do a really good job on his makeup and make him look really good in white hair, i think he can do it! YAY, cant wait till NEW MOON, its all coming together QUITE NICELY!!!

Sorry if I get my facts wrong, but just because the book says the Volturi are old/ancient, that doesn’t mean they are aged. They just have been around for a very long time. They could have been made into vampires when they were young. ;] So I think Jamie would be great, and he’s pretty darn good looking.

i don’t know… i imagined caius a little bit different but i think when they put male up and red contacts he would look much better and maybe even older. so who knows..
people why are you all judging who ever they cast. no one will ever be able to measure up to the people in the books because you all have your own ideas of who you want to play what part.
why don’t we all hope for the better of the films and hope that the people that were casted do a good job before we start saying anything.

I think it’s a great pick. He was really good in Sweeny Todd and I have confidence that his look will fit the part. New Moon is big business now and they will make it perfection. Give him a chance, remember people did not want Rob for Edward!
I thought us Twihards had more inelect!! Give the guy a chance, i`m pretty sure they can dye his hair and put some make-up on him!! They did for almost all the Twilight cast. I think its cool that they are casting lesser known actors.

This guy is totally wrong. He looks like a 12 year old girl. I pictured Caius at least as old as Carlisle (with some even older looking features, like skin, hair and eyes), a bigger guy, and actually masculine.

You people are terrible. Jamie Campbell Bower is an amazing actor and you can’t judge how he is going to be just on a picture. Did anyone think that Sean Penn would make a good Harvey Milk? Truthfully? No. And look at that. He won an Oscar. Stop being so judgemental and hyper over things that no one cares about.
Gain some patience and some taste in good movies and novels. Poor Jamie. He can be doing so much better than Twilight…
