On Tuesday afternoon, Summit Entertainment officially released the names of the new “Twilight” stars joining the franchise for this year’s “New Moon,” along with an official confirmation on the return of the Twilighter fan favorites.
But, was someone missing?
“Rejoining the movie are Ashley Greene as Alice, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme,” read the announcement posted on Summit’s website. “Kellan Lutz as Emmett, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper , Edi Gathegi as Laurent and Rachelle Lafevre as Victoria.”
Um, hello? Where’s Billy Burke?
Before the rumors spread too far out of hand, however, we’ve got the scoop on some good news for Twilighters.
An inside source has confirmed to MTV that the veteran actor is indeed in the “New Moon” cast, and will be returning as Bella’s father. Despite Billy Burke’s omission from the press release, Kristen Stewart’s family will look exactly the same when they hit theaters everywhere on November 20th.

Hehe, don’t worry ME!, Billy’s coming back. It said so in the article. His character just wasn’t mentioned in the press release.

Billy will be in New Moon bcuz they didnt mention Taylor to be returning, or Anna Kendrick or Justin Chon or Christian Serritos or even Bella’s Mom Renee they just mentioned the main characters. So since they didnt mention the ppl i listed above they wont be i New Moon? I dnt think so they just werent mentoned!

Billy has to be in that movie I mean he was the perfect person to play charlie thats exactly how i pictured charlie in my head when I was reading
They’re crazed if they don’t leave the cast as it was – and hopefully they don’t cast any really big stars in the movies to come…. I can’t believe they’re switching composers for the music, I really think they need to temper their enthusiasm for change, Chris Weitz is a risk but I’m hoping he can add more intimacy to New Moon because as good as Twilight was, there was definiteily some connection lost in their haste to keep the pace so high speed.
I am happy that the cast is the same in Bellas family… I hope the Cullens will always do the same.. never fix something that is not broke… as for the new members it is exciting and I do look forward to the movie.. oh heck.. I am so excited it is just so hard to wait.. thanks for the update
