‘New Moon’ to be number one film for 2009?

Twilight Examiner predicts ‘New Moon’ will be number one film for 2009.

The latest gross figures from IMDb show Twilight (the film) as having brought in a quaint $351,449,475 worldwide, and we already know that it is the number one DVD for the year. Of book sales, Twilight is ranked number two in book sales for the first quarter of this year according to USA Today. Ranked number one? That would be New Moon, followed with Eclipse and Breaking Dawn at a comfortable third and fourth place respectively. (Also, Meyer’s The Host was at 14th place.) Furthermore, a recent press release shows Twilight still ranked in the top ten sales and rentals for the week ending on April 12th, the third week of its release to DVD.

Not only will The Twilight Saga: New Moon be within the top 50 most successful films of 2009 (worldwide), but I dare say it will rank number one.

New Moon is going to be huge! It’s going to be better than twilight with the new director and the bigger budget. Twilight was a huge phenomenon so new moon is going to be twice that! Cant wait!!

It was real fun talking with you guys yesterday. Nice to put a face with the words. We talked about Stephenie M. making a cameo in New Moon and I thought Jaspers hair was to soft and foofy. Follow me @twitters Vamp_Pattinson I hope you will. Thanks Chris and Geo

i disagree, as much as i love twilight and am excited for new moon, i think that public enemy, with johnny depp and harry potter and the half blood prince will do better then new moon. but that’s my personal opinion, and i’m not alice, so i can’t see the future lol

im not sure if it will be #1 cuz there is Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince to consider… and i dont think that New Moon should come out in 2009 cuz they started filming in march and i dont think like 8 months is enough time to make New Moon when it took 2 years to film Twilight… That just my opinion though….

Sorry, I highly doubt it will take first. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Public Enemy will rank high along with the new Transformers. But I do think New Moon will hit the top 5.

i think New Moon will be the best thing that ever happened in theaters! It’s just sad, because in my opinion, they’re ruining it with Dakota fanning in there.

To be honest Harry potter and the half blood prince will most likely be taking #1, yes i am a serious Hp fan, but new moon will definitly be in the top 5, but there are alot of antisapated movies coming out in 2009.

I think half blood prince will take the number 1 spot. As much as i love the twilight series, it will never be as big as Harry Potter.
Yay!!! Twilight comes out on dvd on the 22nd! Damn Australia’s delayedness!

New Moon will be awesome but I have to agree with everyone on that fact that Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be opening soon and it should and hopefully will hit #1 (don’t get me wrong I adore the Twilight Saga but nothing can replace Harry Potter in my fantasy world)

NO. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will take the number one spot. As many Twilight fans are out there, there are probably still more Harry Potter fans. Sorry, but Twilight is OLD. They’re over-publicizing it. No one cares anymore.
