MTV has an article about a few sites saying that Breaking Dawn has received the green light to be made into a movie and will start shooting in spring of 2010. But a rep for Summit Entertainment, the film’s producer, told MTV News that the report is untrue.
“Breaking Dawn” has reportedly gotten the green light by Summit Entertainment, as the fourth movie in the “Twilight” saga, according to TheWrap.com, although a rep for Summit Entertainment, the film’s producer, told MTV News late Monday afternoon that the report is untrue.
TheWrap.com reports that a source close to the film’s production said that “Breaking Dawn” will start shooting in the spring of 2010.
“Breaking Dawn” would follow production of the third “Twilight” film, “Eclipse,” which Drew Barrymore recently revealed she won’t be directing. Chris Weitz replaced Catherine Hardwicke on “New Moon,” and it is widely believed that Juan Antonio Bayona will tackle “Eclipse,” although a director has yet to be confirmed by Summit.

i kinda hope they dont make breaking dawn into a movie. what they should do is a combo. in new moon or begining of eclipse have edward propose to bella then have the wedding in the very end of eclipse, leaving the stuff that was cheesy in bd out. but thats just me. i wasnt a fan of BD, it sorta ruined the ending, but the first three are AMAZING! YAY! cant wait for New Moon!

I looked it up and it said if it does become a movie it will most likely be in 2 parts and dat the first half would come out in november 2011 and the second half in the summer of 2012. By then I will be 12 and 13 years old.

i want breaking dawn to be two movies!! the book is too long to fit in one movie. there needs to be the first part n a second. i dont care how they do it, as long as it isn’t to compacted. n i kind og agree with zoey, if it was R, it could show a bunch of scenes from the book. but this isnt confirmed yet, so lets not count our chickens yet.
I am so happy about Breaking Dawn because i know fans are going to want to see Bella and Edward get married.And i think it would be made into 2 beacuse of how long the book is!

All they have to do is knock Bella out during the delivery, do flashbacks with Edward and Jacob talking where she can here but cannot see. Did you know that BD is up for a childrens book of the year award? Irony The excitement of the book, the special effects would be awsome. Enough with the critisism about the pregnancy. They where married. If you want to let teens watch something bad let them watch Juno. Lets get on with the announcement of a BD movie. Don’t thousands of Twilight fans deserve it! Yes we do!

I totally agree twilight till da end it actually depends i say if the star filming know then they could see bellas kid grow up or dey could make a projection of her but i think dat wouldent work n i swear if dey dont give BD i will be so pissed i will protest it no fair that they leave us like dat and bella is going 2 look so pretty as a vampire

As far as the sexual content goes…I agree that even in the book the descriptions are more of a pg-13 than an R by any means…Meyer kept the descriptions fairly mild. I actually hope that the BD movie gives the fans some pay off so to speak to satisfy the sexual tension that has been building between Bella and Edward over three books. I think that it is pretty kosher – for god sake, he is an immortal, but they wait until marriage to consummate-like marriage is essential when you are never going to die! Any way, I think a little heat and a dose of horror (the birth scene, the Volturi) are welcome for the aging twilight audience. They should remember that kids who may have started watching in their early teens, are now adults and the films (not unlike the HP series) should mature with their audiences

I really hope they do make it because I am like one of the biggest young fans ( I read twilight at age 9 and finnished Breaking Dawn at age 10 and i am currently 11) And I am acctually reading Twilight again today because i am sick!!
