EW Talks To Melissa Rosenberg About Breaking Dawn

EW talks with Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter for Twilight, about Breaking Dawn.

They haven’t even released a second movie yet, but already there’s talk of a fourth. TheWrap.com reported earlier today that Summit Entertainment was deep in the planning stages for Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s hugely successful Twilight series. But not so fast, says Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, whose still working on her script for Eclipse, the third in the teen vamp franchise (the second, New Moon, is currently shooting in Vancouver). “The most I’ve heard from Summit is ‘re-read it and start thinking about it,’” says Rosenberg, who is completing her show-running duties on the fourth season of the Showtime series Dexter. More telling, she hasn’t yet received one of the manifestos Meyer famously puts together before Rosenberg begins turning one of her books into a movie.

Yeah I so want to see the wedding too and see all these different vampires from everywhere, I love vampires lol Renesmee is fine and I’m looking forward to seeing how they would ‘create’ such a baby but in terms of storyline I wish SM had focused a little more on her bond with Edward, I wish there would have been more scenes where we saw Edward as a father. But no it’s much more about Bella’s and Jacob’s relationship with Renesmee, although she has a father who loves her too. Disappointing in that aspect.

And I need to see Bella as a vampire. It was like ‘at last!’ for me, I’d been waiting for 3 books for that happy ending since their relationship couldn’t go on like that much longer.

Anyway, I guess it’s good news they’re thinking about doing BD too and re-reading it. Though, how could they need that? Didn’t BD make a big impression enough on them already that they know they have to make it into a movie lol?

if summit is telling her to “think about it.” i think they are going to make it. summit want to cash in, n twilight is the best way to do so. i know for a fact that if they make it, the budget i going to have to be huge! i have high expectations for renesmee. they better make her hella wise and aware. not like a normal baby that looks dazed n confused.

they have got to make breaking dawn.

first of all think of how outraged fans would be if they didn’t. they would tear summit and all the actresses and actors apart if they didn’t.

the twilight saga must have an ending. they can’t just leave it at eclipse.

i’m no movie expert but i’m positive that they are steps that can be taken to keep this PG-13.

i love the books. i have to see them all made into movies.

i know i might be older than most of the fans, but give me a break..
I read throught the 3 books an got my happy ending in Breaking Dawn!
You can’t have all this story with no amazing finale.. We have to see the wedding, How Bella looks as a vampire, what they will do to create Renesmee and a bit of love making too.. it doesn’t have to be explicit but you have to get to that after they get married it’s legit!

How can they just make it to ONE movie? It’s that even possible? I mean how can they get all the details in just one movie? It was so much details in the first book that wasn’t in the movie.. And the book was only 430 pages.. Breaking Dawn is on 750 pages for craying out loud!! But it’s more ridiculous that the movie is mayby going have a PG-13 rating.. The whole essence in the movie will be lost if there are no sex-scenes or no blood in the delivery-scene.. I want to see some feathers! but still it’s a long time till they start on the movie.. I have my fingers crossed..
