To be honest, I loved 30 Days of night lol! I thought it was good. I haven't read Eclipse yet...but I think it would be fun to have some darkness/horror in it! Make people scared, I want to be scared! That’s what would make it fun! If Catherine did EVERY single movie then it would get a tad boring and maybe even predictable. The good thing is that it will be something new and different. We would all probably get bored with Catherine’s style of directing if she did all the films. I loved the 1st film though, I think it was great.

stephanie you are so right! it gives the fans something to do and obsess over so that their mind will always be on twilight. they're making sure the twilight phenomenon doesnt end. apparently Summit loves that fans online are so eager and enthusiastic about finding every itty bitty details.

Personally I have thought about what Summit is doing , choosing a different director for each film. I think that they are doing this because they want for the fans to have some sort of questioning and mystery towards what the movies will turn out to be. I think this is just a trick, because the fans will grow curious as to what style and what the movie is going to be like , CAUSE as we know each director brings something different to the table. SOOO... summit wants to keep the fans eager to see the movie because it's something differnt. If it would have Catherine or Chris for all movie then fans would know what to expect.

P.S. catherine ruined twilight. To me everything was chnaged. Even the meadow scene wasn't complete. and how he showed her what he looked in the sun.

that was a stab in heart for me.

I'm kind of worried about this one. :-\ 30 Days of Night was atrocious. He's a horror director, too. This movie can't be TOO dark...

I'm worried to... but it seems they made a good choice with Weitz, so lets trust them.

Though I haven't seen any of the movies he's done- I'm with Larry... I worried about this choice. He has a very short IMDB resume, but I guess I have to trust Stephenie, and Summit! Here's hoping!
