Paramore Talks New Album and Twilight

EW talks with Paramore’s Hayley Williams about their new album, how they got on the Twilight soundtrack and more.
EW: Oh, really? I thought from what I’ve read that [Twilight author] Stephanie Meyer sought you guys out and wanted you specifically to be on the soundtrack. But it’s more like you auditioned?
HW: Well I read the books, and when they were working on the soundtrack, I was finishing up the third book, Eclipse, and I was really into it. I thought this was a great art, a really good story, and really relatable, but I’m always into vampires and all that. So we were touring and writing and jamming out new things every day, and I was like, if they’re putting that soundtrack together this could be great, let’s figure out if we could be a part of it. So yeah, we kinda fought for it. And if you look at the rest of the album, it’s Muse and Iron and Wine and Linkin Park, which really isn’t our demographic.

The great thing about the soundtrack is that it transcends genres and demographics… I love all the artists on the album. Ok… so maybe not so much of the Perry Farrell fake song-ness… that’s a not-so-much.
i loved the twilight soundtrack….i dont really like soundtracks but im in love with the songs. and anything paramore i love. i havnt gotten their other albums but i downloaded everything pararmore. and this time i would definately get the new one
paramore is amazing. my favorite band ever! they made the twilight soundtrack even more amazing.
agreedp perry farrell really is unnecessary on the soundtrack!
paramore has to be! i heard of them before i even watched twilight and luv them. and once i heard their song, decode on the twiligth album, it fit so well. i cant imagne a group better fit.
Paramore and Twilight, the two things I love to come home to on a bad day lol. Two most awesomest things ever haha
