Kelly Clarkson To Be On The ‘New Moon’ Soundtrack?

The question has been erupting all over the Web for the last few days, and we’ve just published an article that gets to the bottom of it: Will Kelly Clarkson be on the ‘New Moon’ soundtrack?
The answer is… well… maybe?
As we all remember from last year’s honest dialogue with Catherine Hardwicke, the soundtrack is one of the last things the “Twilight” directors are concerning themselves with. And after the smash sales of last year’s album featuring Paramore, Linkin Park, Perry Farrell and the rest, “New Moon” director Chris Weitz would be wise to take his time and make sure he brings the rock.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t try and influence the guy, right Twilighters? So what do you think? Have you heard Kelly Clarkson’s “Did You?” song? Is her squeaky-clean “American Idol” image a little too much for the “Twilight” fanbase, or do you guys consider yourselves fans?

Kelly has this new edginess to her sound that works well with the movie… I do think that despite the fact that she’s not so edgy Taylor Swifts “BREATHE” is PERFECT for Bellas post edward pre jacpob “zombie” phase…. Trust me and listen to the song its unbelieveable
I don’t like the sound of the song they are talking about, lyrics are good tho. I really think they should just pull off of the song list that is on stephanie meyers website, those songs fit the story best.

Please no. Just please. Kelly Clarkson fizzled out two years ago. Now she’s just pulling out crap from unspeakable places.
yeah right, why not just ruin the soundtrack with her music…. i think some talent and rock is required for the theme of the twilight saga.. the pop princess just wants in to make some money becuase she cannot make it on her own….. she would ruin the soundtrack… the end

I think a couple of Kelly.s song would fit in beautifully with the New Moon film. I really think kelly Clarkson is a fantastic artist and It would bring even more interest to the soundtrack

Kelly would be a great contribution. Addicted (Breakaway), Haunted (My December), and Cry (All I Ever Wanted) would all be amazing selections for the soundtrack. Anyone here who hasn’t heard them should listen to them. The lyrics are phenominal!
I think she would do okay if she just changed her style like how she did when she was making My December. But if she stays like this it would be such a disaster for the new moon soundtrack.

kelly clarkson would be awesome for new moon! all you people who don’t think she would be good for new moon are crazy are crazy! go listen to some of her music first! like haunted and addicted and maybe even I hate myself(that’s on the breakaway album) though that one may not fit as well. haunted even has the part about the voices in it! or addicted she says she can’t breathe and he’s sucking the life from her! a lot of her songs are about heartbreak and pretty much dying inside from it! plus, she’s a twilight fan! before you people comment go listen to her music instead of commenting just because of her image. just because you may not like her, doesn’t mean she wouldn’t be good for new moon.
