yes i agree that the Twilight soundtrack did amazing, but mayb they want 2 try something new. pop isn’t exactly my fav genre, and yes, alternative rock does fit the saga best, but who knows, i could picture at least 1 r&b song on the soundtrack. but mayb thats bcuz my type of music changes, i’m in2 pretty much everything and i could c a lot of different songs from different genres on the NM soundtrack. but i think u guys r right on point about pop being absolutely not right 4 NM…but just don’t shut EVERYTHING down, different types of ppl luv Twilight, and different ppl means different music, so TRY 2 keep an open mind…but i still agree on..no pop! it’s 2 peppy, even if it is suppossed 2 b a sad song.hehe=]

Please for the love of cheese, NO. The Twilight soundtrack was completely amazing and filled with artists that were known, but not ones that everyone was like OMGGGG over. I mean, for real? The Jonas Brothers? Madonna? Kelly Clarkson? and now this Justin dude? No thank you. I think that New Moon isn’t going to be as good as Twilight because New Moon is now like a pop/look-at-mefest with people who just want in on it. If Twilight didn’t make as much as it did these artists would be like uh, no. And seriously, do pop artist really apply to the New Moon theme? I mean, I think of more…darker music I guess could be the word and pop just doesn’t seem to fit it. I’m just picturing the scene where Edward is leaving Bella and hearing a Jonas Brothers’ or a song of that Justin guy’s and just no, it doesn’t seem to fit at all. But I don’t know, I guess they could make it work, especially the actors and actresses, but I don’t think I’ll be buying this soundtrack, but that’s just me and my opinion so it’s all good. I’m done ranting now, hah.

I reckon Muse- Time is running out would be an awesome song for one of the movies but I can’t really think of a scene in New Moon where it would fit

The song is not totally horrible but Justin cannot sing and the lyrics would need some re-working because crying out “I cant live” over and over again just does not work for me.

The song is horrible! It’s badly written and the music is almost stolen from “Decode” but then rearranged and turned into a mess. He’s like begging for attention. I don’t think it will happen. It better not. That song would even ruin the end credits!

In the end it is up the studio and the execs to decide who will be on the soundtrack.

And Linkin Park and Collective Soul were on the first soundtrack as well. They have been mainstream for years.

Just my opinion, but let the studio decide what they think is best for the soundtrack they didn’t disappoint us the last time did they?

well i have heard the song and it is darkly romantic. not any less appropriate for the TWILIGHT series of movies….than the high voice of lead singer for muse or the tune of bellas lullaby from the previous soundtrack.
