am i the only one who noticed those awful white tights? she looks more like she’s going off to vampire school rather than one of the most formidable members of the volturi!!!! but since this is the first bad picture i’ve seen from new moon, i suppose i’ll let it pass… i just hope she looks fiercer in the movie.
yeah i agree w/ EMILYNJ. Dakota herself looks great..but her wardrobe..not so much, thats my opinion, i kinda figured more of just a plain pitch black robe w/ a hood thing that reaches down 2 the floor….i’m not explaining it right…but n e ways, maybe it will look better in the movie. like EMILYNJ said, its the 1st bad pic i’ve seen 4 NM 2, so i could let it go=]

ok people, i like what she is wearing, however i could live with out the white tights. I just think her make-up is way to dark.
OMG…..i still cant believe dakota actually gotthe part…..and she looks HORRIBLE in those pictures….i read the part where it describes jane over and over…..SHE DOESNT FIT THE PART!!!
I hate when people say that the actors don’t fit the description. That’s up to Stephenie to decide. Its the way SHE imagined them, that should be good enough for us.

the cape i don’t mind so much. it’s those hideous tights that ruin everything for me. it doesn’t matter that dakota doesn’t accurately match the description of jane, but those tights…god…so awful!
I think the reason for putting her in that costume, would be to show that she looks innocent but you would never expect her to be evil or be any serious threat, which we know isn’t the case. She reminds me of those scary looking porcelain dolls. I think her hair is actually pulled back, for her wig. I pictured her hair style to kinda look like Katie Holmes. I know some of you are concerned with their appearance, but you can see they are in direct sunlight and I don’t think they are completely in character. Once we see them on the big screen, I think we will be happy with the results.
I agree with CRYSTAL AKA LEAH a pitch black robe that reaches the floor with a hood and NO PATTERN would fit the description from the book. And I hope it will look better in the movie because they can’t change her costume now after filming some scenes already. I hope all of the other Volturi have the robes that I described or something like it, maybe with a color change for the Volturi who are not so well-known or important.
i like how alice looks,bcuz she looks like my step mom,i dont like how jane looks though,i still cant wait till da movie comes out!!
oomg dakota is looking completely wrong. Jane is a brunnete not a blond jane dosent wear school girl tights and overall im not happy tht they casted her. but since this is only the first pic ive seen i will let it go but its not making me feel very good about the look of jane

I think the costume is beautiful. A plain black robe may have worked in the book but I think it would be boring to look at on screen. The stockings I’m not to fond of. I think a black would’ve been nice but I’m sure it will all work out.
Can you all QQ more please? Her wee costume change from book to film is not a big deal. Right now I’m just worried that this film is going to be just as horrible as the first one. But I have faith in Chris Weitz and I’m hoping he won’t let me down.

Yea um what’s with the hair and the robe you aren’t supposed to even see her legs and OMG why does Alice lool like that I am not a happy camper can they do anything right If her hair and wardrobe isn’t right before they show New Moon I am so gonna protest they already messed up Jacobs big ‘Unveiling’ to Bella I mean at least for the sake of the true twilighter ‘book’ heads they get some little tiny part right

Hey guys, i dont think that Dakota will be like this in the movie, maybe she also got a wig? just not wearing on that pic ? because wigs are veeeeryyy warm, and if its sunny in addition…. well you know.. (I have a silver one, so i know what i’m talking about)
and the clothes… bad, very bad…. Alice(Ashley) looks like my grandma -.-
Yeah… And Jane(Dakota) …. err… hate her tights and her hole outfit, just isnt as i pictures but maybe it looks better in the movie? I mean… its just ONE little freakin picture, i can get over it….

It doesn’t matter if jane isn’t exactly the same as the book, all that matters is that it works.i think they’v made an excellent choice and i think she’ll be perfect as jane, i think the fear she’ll give will be in the way she moves and her eyes and voice, it doesnt matter that she looks young and innocent, thats the whole point, just wait and see, i think you’ll all be pleasantly surprised.
The tights make her look like Nellie Olson on the way to a Little House funeral.

The cape Dakota is wearing looks like it was borrowed from little red riding hood, it does not look intimidating like I think it should. The book describes them as being floor length, it mentions they look like they are floating above the ground when they walk. Maybe this isn’t the actual Volturi robe…I can hope.
By the way, I think Dakota Fanning makes an absolutely FANTASTIC Jane. She looks like a sweet little girl until you see the scary red eyes! She has the part so ppl stop whining! I think she is going to be very scary, as long as she doesn’t wear those awful white tights…
guys come on, alice is supposed to be as covered up as possible because its so sunny. and i think the robe looks like something out of harry potter. it looks stupid. i was imagining a dementor type cloak not a school robe.
oh, and I think (at least for Alice’s picture) they are trying the clothes out cuz the lady next to her has fabric samples so it might be they are trying different things on to see what works best.

ok my cousin makesa way better jane than dakota she and i are going as jane and hedi for halloween i will say that my cousin did her makeup just to c what it would look like and she was perfect so…. no white tights like reallythey r so bad i mean i pictured jane in a black shirt, jeans , ans high heel black boots and a plain floor lenth black cloak or a dress w/ a black cloak not at all what i was thinking
