#26 Stephenie Meyer
Thanks to the success of Meyer’s Twilight series, 2008 became the year of the vampire. The low-profile author sold 29 million books last year, releasing two new novels (Breaking Dawn and The Host) and selling hoards of paperbacks of what have become instant classics (Twilight, Eclipse and New Moon). Last November, gothy fans camped out to catch the first film based on the series; Twilight grossed $70 million opening weekend. A partial rough draft of the fifth Twilight book leaked online last August; Meyer published the full draft on her Web site and announced the book wouldn’t be published.

Hi, i’m page, because i love to read. I am in love with the twilight saga. All my freinds hav been talkin about is the saga 4 the whole school year. I cannot believe that stephenie is going to let the jerk who put her book on the internet win! As an amateur author myself i can understand your being upset, but You can’t just give up on the series. This award is proof of the millions of fans that you’ll be letting down. If you can’t tell that your fans are devoted, then look at my name. Open Book, the first chapter in twilight and in Midnight Sun, And 264, the exact number of pages that their are in Midnight sun’s draft. I read the draft. It was amazing! Even though their were probably a few mistakes, it was some of your best work. Don’t give up on the book. So a few people saw it. Rewrite and make it comepletely unbelievable, and totally different. Wow em!

Apparently she is worth over $140 million dollars. I wish she could let go of the frustration over the initial issue with Midnight Sun being put on the internet and give us loyal fans a break by publishing it.

I think it would mean a great deal to the fans and the backstabbers to show that Stephanie is TOTALLY KICK ASS!!! Like the amazing author said before, there is so much detail and story behind Edward that we as fans don’t know. Midnight Sun would not only give another point of view, it would most likely also put some more Twi-Guys into the vampire world. I, like a lot of people already have, am BEGGING you Stephanie. PLEASE PLEASE publish Midnight Sun to show that even the mistreated can overcome the wicked.

ok and I just noticed it says ‘gothy fans’ too! that totally bothers me… like, ok, I have only seen maybe twenty goth fans and that was at the midnight premire! Doesnt even count.
Its really starting to bother me cuz in lots of articles, they find one or two words to make Twihards sound bad. Like ‘gothy’ and ‘are only robsessed’. I guess I have been growing out of all the movie stuff/gossip, (books will always be a part of me) but still, my friend is freaking robsessed and they make it sound likes a hormonal teenage disease!

Erin I was going to say something along the same lines. She treats her fans horribly and blamed them for something she inadvertently caused. Love her books but don’t like her, but since this is a list based on money earned and magazines you were seen and not on you as a person then I guess she is right where she should be.
Steph doesn’t blame her fans – she is upset at the person who leaked it and she knows exactly who it is. Although I am disappointed midnight sun won’t be coming out its her decision and I think people should respect that.

That just tells me she is all about herself with her money and could give a shit about her fans or twilight . So I hope someone new will come out with a greater series and actual write book to the series . And not cry boo hoo someone cause some hacker broke into her computer . we love edward so much because we hang on to the hopes that such love can exists, and that is the love that we fear only he beholds. we love bella because she shares many qualitys that we each have inside of us, witch allows us to think that we have every right to be loved that way. i say, if your done with mid night sun, then move on to the next and keep our hearts beating loudly out of our chest with every word from every devine chapter that you write.
