New Moon To Premiere in Knoxville?

Knoxville.com is reporting that New Moon will debut in Knoxville at the Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18, this is yet to be confirmed from Summit Entertainment.
The dawn of a new “Twilight” will bring star power to Knoxville this November when “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” the sequel to the 2008 breakout film “Twilight,” is premiered at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek in advance of its scheduled Nov. 20 release.
Although confirmation of the Knoxville premiere of the movie is set, several key details are yet to be determined, including ticket prices, just which star or stars of the movie will come to town, and even the date of the event.
Since 2003, Regal has annually presented a major-film premiere in Knoxville to benefit Variety – The Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee.

We’ve actually had several large premiere’s at the Pinnacle in Knoxville. Last year it was Brendan Fraser for ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’. They’ve raised alot of money for a childrens charity. As unlikely and random as it may seem, Knoxville has, for whatever reason, been tapped as a great place for movie premieres… I can’t wait, although I doubt I’ll be able to afford tickets for that night.

If you dont live here, it would seem to be random, but Regal cinemas is one of the largest movie theater chains in america (if not the largest) and it was founded here and the corporate headquarters is here in Knoxville, Tennessee. I think they built the Pinnacle theater with events like this in mind and like Pamela said, they have had premieres here before. This is going to be the biggest yet though!!

Knoxville is not as random as people think. The corporate offices are located in Knoxville and the company originally started in East Tennessee as well. As a Knoxvillian…I am psyched!
haha oh my.. i can walk to the theatre that they’re having it at. everyone in our town is so excited. ha NO famous people ever come. except for hannah montana came to the theatre for her premiere. haha

The reason Knoxville gets these premieres is because Regal Cinemas Corporate Headquarters is here. They are one of the biggest theater chains in the U.S. This will be a huge event!
from what i’ve heard 100 tickets will be sold to the public and 800 will be given out thru charity
Advanced Show November 17th, Turkey Creek. Limited number available for public sale. Must register for a drawing to even purchase. You can only purchase 2 tickets @ $100 each. Must register between October 9 – 11 at Regal Cinema. The rest of the tickets went to Corp Spon.

YES, KNOXVILLE TN…….. We are not just a random City……… We have one of the best Colleges (GO VOLS) and sports teams around… So THANKS TWILIGHT for picking us as the Premier Hot Spot !!!!! Be jealous it was a fabulous night !
