EW: ‘Twilight’ Graphic Novel on the way!

For those of you who can’t get enough Edward and Bella, EW can announce — exclusively — that Yen Press will be publishing Twilight in graphic-novel form, publication date still to be determined. Though Korean artist Young Kim is creating the art, Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel.
Take a close look at the biology-class sketch we’ve obtained (that’s an empty dialogue bubble between their heads, if you’re wondering). What’s interesting to me is that it doesn’t look simply like an artist’s rendering of Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson. In fact, the characters seem to be an amalgam of Meyer’s literary imagination and the actors’ actual looks. The description of Edward from biology class: “His dazzling face was friendly; open, a slight smile on his flawless lips. But his eyes were cautious.” And Bella: “I was ivory-skinned …. I had always been slender, but soft somehow, obviously not an athlete…” To me, this graphic-novel Bella seems much closer to me to Meyer’s book than to Stewart’s sultry portrayal. The Edward shown is closer to Pattinson, but not a real duplicate; there’s something very winning in the sketch that I don’t see in Pattinson’s all-too-perfect tousled bronze locks and piercing eyes.

cool. Not really into graphic novels. But this may be an exception i would love to see the characters come to life thru graphics and such.

honestly, i dont know what to think. i want twilight to stay as novels. and leave it to the imagination and the movies to bring the characters to life, not a graphic novel. i have mixed feelings about this.
ugh, i hate graphic novels!!! is that mean? i think they’ve gone a little too far since the dolls. lol i mean, proud of twilight, but no.
yay!! can’t get enough of twilight!! except those freaky barbie dolls. they are so creepy. i hope they make graphic novels of the other books too!!!!

i love twilight and i love that it’s gunna be graphic novel and all,but i think the drawings are kind of lame.they could have done waaay better.
Hmmm….I don’t know about this. I wanna hate the whole graphic novel thing but I don’t…yet. I’ll give it a chance. Amazing artwork though.

Okay…So i like graphic novels, but i won;’t ger obsessed over this. It’s still Twilight.. same story and everything. But in a graphic novel. It would be a lot cooler to me if maybe it was like …idk another book or plot line or something. anything really, but this just is wayy to far. I mean the barbies were awful, the boardgames were childish but this..this is horrifying. I just think this wasy a bit too much. I wouldnt buy it, maybe look through it for the pictures. But what makes a good story is something no one has read before..and obvisiously a lot of people have read this story
