The West Australian and Rachelle Lefevre have confirmed that the Australian actor Xavier Samuel will be cast as Riley in Eclipse.
Little-known Aussie actor Xavier Samuel is headed for the big time after landing a role in one of the hottest movie franchises around: Twilight.
Samuel has been cast in Eclipse, the third film in the Twilight series based on the best-selling books by Stephenie Meyer, his management company Shanahan Management told AAP.
He will play Riley, a good-looking college student and newborn vampire, who joins villain Victoria’s plot to murder Bella (Kristen Stewart).
“I’m really thrilled, but also very overwhelmed, I don’t think it has sunk in yet,” Samuel said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and I’m really excited to be part of the film.”
i thought tom felton would be good at first too, but ive never seen this guy before, so i cant really compare the two of them. besides… this guy is hot

he is perfect for the part! i love when they cast an unknowns for this series. i think that is one of the reason why i like the casting. they look for new faces, letting them get a jump start in their future as an actor/actress. i mean tom would have been great, but i like the fact that he is a “new” face.
plus Tom wouldn’t have the time to film Eclipse, due to the filming of the final book for Harry Potter.

@Brandi ^^ i totally agree, thats y i dont like the idea of dakota fanning playing jane. they shud have stuck with the “new faces” thing throughout all the films. that way, it wud be far more suspensful for us, as fans, when we actually see the films. idk, i just dont like her. enough said. :\

idc who plays who bc i mean they culd pretty much pick any1 for the parts in the movies bc once they put on the makeup and costumes they can completely transform so no matter who is playing who i have complete faith in the makeup artist/costume designer/and director that the next 3 films of the twilight saga they will do justice.(this of course does not apply to kristen stewart and robert pattinson bc they of course are irreplaceable lol bc if they werent in these movies as edward and bella nothing would be the same bc no1 can pull off edward lyk robert pattinson can and no1 can pull off bella like kristen stewart does) so yea thats what i tink.
